I've made a few changes to the story categories:

Firstly, "Dr. Who/Torchwood" and "NCIS" have both been promoted to top-level categories, and the stories divided by central BtVS/AtS character.

Secondly a new "Games" top-level category has been created out of what used to be the "Video Games" and "RPGs" sub-categories of miscellaneous. This new category encompasses all types of game - computer-based, role-playing, even board games!

Within games, the stories are sub-divided by the setting of the game world, rather than the type of game or style of game play. Knowing if it is a war-themed or horror-themed game is more relevant to deciding if you want to read a story about it than knowing whether it is a first-person shooter or RPG.

A lot of the categorization was done with quick Wikipedia checks on the game in question, so a few may be in the wrong places - if so, please let us know on the forums.

If season-six Buffy was anything to go by, they are probably going to be moody & distant for a bit...

Since tthdrabbles tends to be a little slow in the winter, Jedi Buttercup is throwing the community's second annual fic fest, complete with prizes.

The rules are simple. Write as many drabbles for the challenges there as you can, between now and March 10th. For every author who writes six or more drabbles-- that's only one a week!-- the mod will write a minimum of 1,000 words of fiction (fandom negotiable), crossover or not, centered on any character you choose.

And there's more. For every drabble you write over the six-drabble limit, 100 words will be added to that minimum value. Which means if you are crazy enough to write fifty, like someone did last year, you'd be owed at least 5,400 words of fic.

Is that motivation enough? Get writing, and make Jedi Buttercup write for you!
