Imagine that Buffy is Frodo and her friends are the other eight companions of the Fellowship of the Ring. Giles should be Gandalf, but the rest is your choise. The racial distribution should be the same as in the book: four hobbits, one elf, one dwarf, three men. The replaced characters should not be in the story. Also no Gandalf, no Legolas, no Aragorn etc. Other non-companion characters can also be replaced by Buffy characters (e.g. Angel is Elrond).
No m/m slash please, but femslash is allowed.
And please use the canon pairings (either from Buffy or from the novel or both).

Oz wondered a bit further than anyone expected. Somebody screws up (Rule No. 1 it can't be Willow) and sends every bodies favorite furry to Middle Earth. (Rule No.2 It has to be Post Chosen and Pre or Post LOTR) and Rule No.3 if it is the first age, Oz meets Isildur and beats the living crap out of him. Rule No.4 Oz will simply be known as the bard and accumulate his various names and titles from there. Final Rule, Rule No.5 no characters from BTVS can join him, only characters from Angel that fought in the final battle against Wolfram and Hart.

I'd really like to see a good crossover story involving Xander from BTVS and Elladan/Elrohir Halfelven of LOTR. I want SLASH. There's just something about those sexy elves, and they seem to cause and delight in as much chaos as Xander causes, even if most of the time he doesn't mean to do it. I am a huge Lord of the Rings fan, so I decided to put this little challenge out for anyone who would like to see or try something a little different.

In almost all of the challenges that I have seen thus far, it is always one of the BtVS or Angel characters who gets sent back to Middle-Earth for some reason. While there is absolutely nothing wrong with this premise, I propose a twist.

Giles is Gandolf. That's pretty much the whole thing. I want a story where either:

1) Giles is how Gandolf started out. He acquires certain magics and is risen to the level of grey wizard (or whatever comes before that). He fights the good fight as the world changes around him. You'll probably have to fiddle with the LotR back story a touch, but probably just by scrunching the time line. You're smart. You can do it:)

2) In a time of need, the Scoobies call for aid. The spell is meant to persuade help from the Council. Instead, Giles finds himself possessed by Gandolf...

Okay, I am in desperate need of some Buffy/Eomer fics.

Xander is sent to Middle Earth about five years before the fellowship begin their journey. He stays there and eventually travels with them to destroy the ring.
Set after Buffy Season Three, but with no SuperXander.

-Xander becoming a fighter
-Relationship can be slash
-GimliXander freindship, can be adopted as brother ect
-LegolasXander arguments, will get closer later on in the fic

-Other buffy/angel characters, Xander has to be on his own

This is after The Gift, Buffy disappears in a portal and is reborn as Galadriel in Middle Earth.

Write a story about how she grows up and her marriage to Celeborn and her resurrection by Willow.
When Willow brings her back it can only be after Return of the King when they go to the Grey Havens.

You can also write more of Galadriel in the Lords of the Rings

What if when Buffy jumped through the portal (or any way you think of to cross to another verse) she ended up in her old home in Middle Earth. Done, right? Instead of having been an elf, what if she was the Daughter of Theoden King? Any pairings you want! Please!

Xander somehow ends up in the LOTR universe; preferably before the first book. Legolas finds him and they get off to a terrible start; violence ensures. Xander is captured and taken to the Elders. He is accepted by them and Legolas starts to fall for him.

Insert Xander into the LOTR storyline, feel free you can alter Canon to your hearts content.

In the end it should be Xander/Legolas, and I would like Xander to continuously rag Legolas about how they met. Extra points for the words "you shot me" showing up...

okay, so I've seen plenty of fanfictions where Dawn or some other Scoobie character is turned into a little kid and sent to where ever world. I've also read plenty where Dawn jumps instead of Buffy and lands in Lord of the Rings as a little kid.

It can take place during any part of Lord of the Rings and may either be based on the books or movies.

Really, thats all I have. Your free to do with this idea what ever you wish. I only have two requirements.

1. Dawn may not be over 7
2. No other scoobie will join Dawn.

I've read a lot of stories where Buffy falls in love with Aragorn or Legolas. But what if she came to
ME years after the books/movies, and falls for Aragorn son?
