I had to read this several times before I was sure what I thought and felt. The break between Willow and Remus seems to serve as a metaphor for the horrible new gap in Xander's life.

It's needs work on the transition from the hilltop scene to the scene where Remus finds Xander...like a description of emotion or something...it ends to quickly before you go into the other scene.
