Review:
Excellent series. I hope you finish it.

And I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who made Robin Wood a bastard. ;) Have to say: you did a much more ruthless job of it than I did. I'm impressed.

And the hits just keep on coming. I really hope theres some hope in the future for Faith. What ever happened to Mr. Wood and the others to have such insane hatred of Faith? It's can't all just be council politicts.

Review:
What on earth happened to make Robin treat Faith so badly? I could understand him trying to paint her as being as in the wrong as he is because of guilt over what he did to her, but it seems that most everyone either doesn't know the real situation or else doesn't believe it. So this venom has to be more than just overcompensating for having been caught cheating on her. And it seems that Willow has for some reason reverted back to her disdain and contempt from season 4, so I wonder what happened to the understanding that she had reached with Faith in season 7. How could Robin be that convincing to everyone? Or is it something like the Sunnydale Syndrome, where they only see what they want to believe and not what is really there? I would almost bet that it is a spell, but then who would have cast it?

It broke my heart to read in this last chapter that Danny was dead. I hope that it is one of his infamous non-permanent deaths, but I don't know since she is meeting up with the Immortals nearly a year later with no mention of him. Please update again soon, because I hate this hanging on a cliff thing. =[

On a side note, you have mixed up who the Colorado slayers are. The first time they are mentioned, Mae is the recruit. The next time, Mae is the older slayer who is adopting the little one. You might want to fix that. =]

This was good. I was wondering who it would be. I at first thought of SG1, and that would most likely be Sam. Oh, or it could be Cam. Richie makes much more sense, though ;) They would make a cute couple. Thanks for the update.

Review:
Poor Faith! And why nobody has killed Robin Wood yet is beyond my understanding (please tell me there'll eventually be a red and sticky ending to his part in the story?).

Glad that Jack and Giles, at least, are acting human.

I am so heartbroken. And I want to fucking kill Robin Wood. And I didn't even hate him in the show...
Comments from author:
I don't hate Robin Wood either (as a rule) -- it's just a story. -The New Council is as hidebound and myopic as the old. And in some sense my idea was "what if Faith couldn't escape the 'bad girl' box she was put in before?" -- And that her own self-image was caught up in failing the "Buffy" test. Furthermore, what if both the Council (Giles et al.) and Faith were truly ignorant of how badly matched the 'story of Faith' and the truth was. Faith defines herself as a perpetrator, not a victim. She considers the mistreatment deserved, part of her redemption, as if she has as much to pay for as Angel.

More please.

Why do people get so crazy? In some stories Faith is bad, in some she is good. In some stories any and all of the BtVS characters are portrayed as either very good, good, neutral, bad, or very bad. Readers need to deal and just go to a different story if the writer's vision isn't working for them.

Great work on maintaining your vision.

Review of chapter "November 2008" from harpy
Review:
hmm, weird. Well written in itself, great ideas, but not enough exposition. Calling something "ficlets" is not enough reason to leave out background, character developement and other stuff the reader needs to understand. I get what you want to do, and you have great ideas and story twists, only your implementation jars me out of enjoying the story everytime.

Example: The opening dialogue with Faith's ex-slayer and Jack O'Neill. Great Shock Value, snappy even. I like it. BUT: a) reality check: Would a teenage girl use that type of language to an unknown caller? Even counting in Slayer, Faith-hater by proxy, it is at least unusual. b) Would Faith actually tolerate it? I mean come on, where is her snappy comeback? c) What are Jack's thoughts? Here he's calling his best friends fiancee and is asked if he is her john? And no reaction from Colonel O'Neill? Improbable. d) the explanation given (I.E. the next paragraph) feels very contrived. A Watcher and a Slayer have a divorce and the WC is only on one side? Weird. Especially since Giles and Xander, both important members, are seemingly firmly on Faith's side.

I could add more, but maybe you already get my drift. Maybe you look at your work again and forget the ficlet idea. Then you see immediately where there are holes you could fill.
Comments from author:
One reason for the so-called ficlet idea was that I had a plot bunny plus a newborn.... I wanted very short chapters -- 500 words or less. Maybe ficlet was the wrong words. The lack of coherence is in part due to the baby.

Review:
I'm interested to see where you'll take this but I really do not like the severe character bashing you have going on for anyone who isn't Faith, Giles, or Xander. I understand that you want to make Faith look good and put her in a hard situation, but making all the characters out into horrible people who don't understand her and hate her to the extreme is just bad characterization. If the only way you can think of to make Faith a sympathetic character is to make all the other characters into horrible people, then that just demeans Faith's character as a whole. (How good of a character is she is she can't stand on her own merits?) Joss Whedon crafted some really complex characters that are none of them perfect. They make mistakes, some worse than others, but they learn from them and grow. They're human. You've taken seven seasons of character development and completely tossed them out the window, and done it unrealistically. I honestly cannot see any of the characters acting as you've portrayed them, including Faith.

OMG! This story is killing me! My heart is breaking right now for Faith. I never could stand Robin or Kennedy, and honestly started disliking Willow after the 2nd season, so this story is making me absolutely hate them. I love the way you're writing Giles' character and his continued support of Faith. I will definitely be paying attention to what you do with this story.
