So far this is a pretty neat story. I just finished the VM series and was actually looking for highlander cross overs.

Wee doggies! This is one terrific story. Your Veronica and her voice are perfect and you do a terrific job with the other characters too. And now she has been pulled into the Immortal world... Well, I'll bet Veronica is going to make a great Watcher. If she doesn't become Attorney General or head of the FBI first. Lol!

You've done a great job capturing the flavor of the witty dialog of VM & Co. This is turning out to be an interesting and entertaining fic.

this is interesting. So maybe an immortal has found out about the watchers, and gotten all paranoid about them? Thinks they're dedicated to destroying immortals? Actually--based on the actions of that rogue group in some eps...he might be justified--maybe he got attacked by that group, and thinks all watchers are like that? Then sees Joe Dawson, a known member, talking with immortals & figures it's all a huge conspiracy?
It would be nice if Veronica turned out to be immortal, in her line of work she won't see 30 otherwise...

As litigious as the States is, one halfway decent lawyer would have both those "law enforcement" types out of a job.

[Laughs] I think it may be something in the water cooler at the local station, it seems every cop/sheriff/FBI agent that spends too much time there, get's bitten by the 'must arrest at random' bug! Seriously, have you watched the programme? It's a wrongful arrest smorgasbord.

Of course, this makes it all too easy for me to hot up the plot a little :-P Yay, for corrupt, prejudiced, stupid, fictional cops!

This splendid crossover has made my afternoon. I cant wait to see what come out of Veronica's mouth next. The lightning speed/crackling lines and delivery was always my favorite aspect of the show, and your tale has so far embodied that same pithy/sardonic wit. Will you be telling everything from her point of view? I cant help but hope for Metho's internal dialog/response to Veronica (or even the elevator ride, which was in and of itself grand), defiantly looking forward to more.

Hmm, a difficult question. I was originally going to write this story in the first person, but I thought it might be too confusing for a multi-chapter crossover. It is still going to be in from Veronica's POV, though, although I might do an 'Agatha Chrtistie' style exposition piece at the end, courtesy of Methos. Or Methos and Joe making an observation on the events at Neptune at the end in the epliogue... never say never, as they say

Nice start, and good characterisation of the VM characters - slightly surprised to see Joe involved, but no doubt all will become clear eventually. Looking forward to more.
