Hey there -- I really enjoyed this story. Of course, I do like most stories which feature Xander as more than just the Zeppo. I think you've done a good of channeling what Xander could be like if he applied himself. He's got experience with torture, that's certain, and you've captured it well without overdoing his abilities.
I think the only thing I didn't really like is the bit where Don has to spend the week getting to know Xander to make sure he's OK, it just feels off and while I like the idea of them spending more time together it just doesn't feel right. I can see Don inviting him home for dinner but not because he was forced to do so.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to more of this story and I appreciate you taking the time to write it. Best wishes.
