Review of chapter "Chapter Ten" from TheatricalBarrister
Review:
The original parts of this story were pretty interesting, with Tara and Faith, and the early stuff with Buffy. Once you started the RE part, though, it was just a recap of the movie.

Nothing changed because of Buffy's involvement. In one part, I think you even have Buffy say the same line (or perhaps paraphrase) that another character (who is still present in the scene in your version) says in the movie!

I don't understand the purpose of sticking Buffy in this if nothing changes. Maybe you are just setting it up for the next part, but if so, you could have left a lot of bits out, and gotten to the new stuff quicker.
Comments from author:
It wasn't a recap, although it did follow the basic lines of the movie. The dialogue for the original char's we did try to keep as close to the original in most areas, as to Buffy repeating someone from the movie you'd have to be a bit more specific there.

The reason being because it wasn't meant to be an entirely new take on the events in the Hive. Slayer Evil was not meant to be a re-write of the events in the movie. It was, among other things, an introduction of characters like Alice and Buffy and the situations that would be showing up later on.

You can't just skip the dinner and go straight to the dessert. The new stuff in "Slayer Apocalypse" wouldn't have made as much sense if you didn't understand the 'why' or the 'how' things got to that point.

Thanks for you thoughts though.

I've always wanted to see a crossover of these two genres and you did a great job of incorporating Buffy into the Resident Evil verse. I'm still not sure what part Faith and Tara will play in the long run so I guess I'll just have to read the sequel to find out. Anyway, great work again!

Review:
Awesome chapter. Love Buffy's graphic zombie stomping! Now thats the way a Slayer takes on zombies. I know you needed to do it for the sequel but a few soldiers in chem gear doesnot seem enough to put down Buffy when she took down a team of Initiative agents actively hunting for her. Granted she was at peak strength and not so exhausted, it just seemed relatively mundane. Several taser blasts would have made more sense. Just the only thing that bugged me. Loved how she smashed them left and right though. Hope Buffy and the Watchers take down Umbrella soon.

At least there was a happy ending! (gee, I was hoping R. would survive, she was annoying, but still....)
Huh... at least they're safe now that they're in a hospital in Raccoon City. What could possibly go wrong there?

good story, waiting for the next. Wish that the story was a little more changed from the original resident evil plot however.
Comments from author:
sopchoppy,
thanks and while we had some wiggle room, the problem was the location and the countdown limited our options, that and we didn't want to fundamentally alter the RE ending.

Nice to see you didn't abandon this story. I look forward to reading the rest of the story.
Comments from author:
Never planned to abandon it, I just kept getting sidetracked by RL and other projects. The next chapter should be going up today as a matter of fact :-)

Review of chapter "Chapter Eight" from PATM
Review:
You say in this chapter that people bitten live a full life and turn into zombies when they
die of old age and then resurrect to go about eating people. in all of the movies those bitten
became sick enough to expire in the length of the movie(s), then they go about eating people
as zombies. Obvious canon failure of both sides of this crossover. I won't accept this error as
your little plot twist as Buffy has been bitten. Her Slayer powers have demonstrated in your
story to show it's power over profound injury and infection. Otherwise I loving the story and
hope you write more, more, more. Faith to Sunnydale and Tara to Raccoon City is a nice
choice, conveniently so, since it was foretold. Cool
Comments from author:
As far as the Red Queen knows (especially considering Buffy has survived with being infected when by rights it SHOULD have taken HER), there are individuals who could survive as carriers, in reality, there's not. Buffy's Slayer aspect is mystical, while Umbrella is looking at it as genetics. Without the mystical interference, canon deaths will occur as normal.

You haven't seen everything, so sit tight, and hold your screams of "Canon Abuse" to a minimum, we've BOTH watched the movies, and have a good Idea of where we're going, whatever's shown.

Be warned, the Sequel DEFINITELY diverges, as this was done before RE: Extinction and we were using the first two movies as baseline to work from. But that don't mean the world still won't be hanging by thread *Evil Grin* It's just the thread is very different than simple apocalyptic disease slaughters world.

Review:
Great story! Not enough action, though. Kidding! .... nice to see shared slayer dreams, there's a chance that Faith will not go evil, AND will let Giles & company know that Buffy wanted to get back home, but got kidnapped.
I am curious as to how they found out about her.... and it's a good thing they didn't catch a vampire. Just imagine the military uses for that....if they could isolate a viral cause for it....
And poor Tara is heading for Raccoon city. Some people just have no luck at all.
