Interesting approach to the grown up-ish Dawn. I loved the story. The only problem I had was trying to figure out the Buffy timeline, that really confused me for the first couple of chapters.

I found this story because of the 2006 CoA nominations. I can understand why your story was nominated. Your Dawn is very well done even though she really didn't have much to do.

Your writing and the insertion of Dawn into the story of LoTR was very well done. And that brings me to my major disappointment with this story - the majority of the work is insertion. I wont call it simply insertion because you did a good job with the pacing, but I think that less then 20% of the story is original. This fic appears to have been nominated for best romance based on that 20%, and the relationship was beautifully done; unfortunately that wasn't enough to overcome the insertion handicap.

Its nice to see that some people can write middle-earth well. I am enjoying reading about it quite a bit.

I am enjoying this story so far, but am slightly confused. Dawn jumped through the portal when she was 15ish, but suddenly she's 18? (Galadriel's pronouncement of dawn being immortal at her 18th was confusing) She talks of facing the first evil, but she jumped through the portal in season 5, well before the first evil. Unless you are referencing the Season 3 episode with the first evil. Which confuses me anyway, due to Dawn having not been there. (which is Joss' doing, not yours)

Despite these confusing aspects, this story is very interesting. You have fit Dawn well into Middle Earth, with a convincing back story, and that is not an easy thing to do.

I really like this fic. I'm so glad that Whiny!Dawn isn't in it. Have one questions though. If Dawn was the one who jumped how does this line in ch 2 - "I’ve faced the First Evil- beyond sin, beyond death." make any sense since FE didn't show up until alot later??? other than that one inconsistency I love it.

Finished the entire story earlier today (over lunch) and it was truly a wonderful tale. Now on to the next one!

This was fabulous! I read the whole story in ONE day... while bored at work... well let me tell you, I am bored NO MORE! I was captivated by the first page and crying by the last! It's so refreshing to see a new approach to fic writing. It was so wonderful!
