Sweet! Zack/Booth goodness! I always feel alone shipping this particular ship, so it's good to know that there are other Bones slashers out there. Zack's dialogue was totally on the mark--the whole situation was perfect. "I'm not good at painting." "Why are we back at step one?" Snerk! Booth was a sweetheart, and remarkably patient, but I think that he'd have thought long and hard before deciding to pursue Zack, so maybe it's not that surprising. I love the way you managed to capture Zack and Booth's characters--every nuance and inflection seemed like them. I'm a sucker for a happy ending. When Booth said, "I won't tell you to shut up," I just about squeed from happiness. It's such a telling example of their relationship.

I read this way back when and thought it was cute, but didn't really get it cuz I'd only seen a few episodes of the show. Now that I've been watching it obsessively, I adore this fic beyond words. Awesome characterization, fantastic dialog, and a plot that's cuter than a monkey with a dog.

Also, having seen the season finale, there's one line in this fic that ALMOST MADE ME CRY. F@#$ing cannon jossing important and beloved character traits right out the window. XP Mr. Yuck Means NO! {/rant}

Wonderful characterization and fantastic dialog.

I don't like the last line of the fic. I think he's promising too much. The sentiment's good, but I can see him regretting it later.

I'm glad you enjoyed. I was hoping people thought I kept them in character. I've never really written Bones Slash, and I wasn't sure how to go about doing it. And then I read an article in some magazine about coffee dates, and it just hit me.

And I'm especially glad you liked the characterization of Zach. I wasn't sure if I got his voice down correctly.

I didn't think a pairing between Booth and Zach would work because I didn't know how long Booth could go without telling Zach to shut up but it most definitely works. I would love to see the conversation between Zach and Hodgins.
