I've been enjoying this whole series... all of them have been very well written. But there is one thing that has been nagging at me, and seems to grow with each story.

Buffy really is a victim here, isn't she? She is cursed, and I think she's beginning to realize it. It's got to break her heart, realizing that the one she thought was in love with her for her seems to be caught up in the same dark spell that all the others have been.

It'd be nice to see a bit of her fire back in one of these; she's never been a shrinking violet, and that is the one thing that disturbs me the most about this series.

NO! it can't be over! that's just unfair. It's gotten so good.

I want to weep bitter tears when I see the date of the last update, because I fear that this story will not be finished!

The thing that is most striking about this story is the writing style; it is reminiscent of Tolkien and contemporaneous writers, without awkwardness or false notes.

I find the plot to be practically painful--to have Buffy be so isolated from the people who should appreciate her heroic qualities, and how sadly ironic that it is because they all love her. It also shows the dark side of romantic love--the love most of these men feel for her seems to be darkly selfish, in that they are more concerned with their own feelings than with hers.

Where the hell is Gandalf? Shouldn't he be swooping in to help her or something? Argh! Goddam PTB!

Thank God she escaped! But now Faramir will be in even worse trouble and Boromir has been dragged into the mess as well. I'm glad Boromir still sticks up for his brother. I wonder what Denethor's reaction will be when he realises he just flayed the woman his favoured son wanted to take as his wife, the same woman he probably would have accepted as his daughter in law if she had chosen differently.

I think that Denethor just made a major mistake by doing this to Buffy. It will make him very unpopular among the lords, captains and the poor of the city. He has completely undermined his position by being so cruel, but perhaps that was the point. I'm sure some higher power placed Buffy there to make a difference somehow. Whether this is to the benefit of good or evil remains to be seen. Personally I hope it is the former.

WOW! I can, with definite honesty, say that this story is my favorite out of all stories I've read on TTH and the 'net. You have a beautiful writing style, emotional and powerful. Also, the way you write from other characters' view instead of Buffy is remarkable, because the story doesn't get confusing or become lacking because of it. In this case, I think it just makes it stronger and unique. The slow build-up of the plot is amazing because the pace is just right and has me on the edge of my seat. I gladly join the masses begging for an update soon.

I have just finished reading all of the parts of this story and it is so good! Please, please come back and update. I'm dying to know what has happened to Buffy. Faramir better go after her! I can't believe Denethor was so cruel! I really, really like the relationship between Buffy and Faramir. He accepted her and loved her without knowing everything about her and nothing has changed his love for her. Buffy refusing to give him up even to save herself let him know how deeply she loves him. Please don't leave it there, update soon!

Oh how I wish you would write more. All these stories are very good but this one is exceptional. Instead of the usual 'throw Buffy into romance' that a lot of crossovers do, you show how Faramir and Buffy's love grows and it's really quite beautiful. But now I'm all worried about what will happen to Buffy now.

Great story, though I can't help but think of Buffy as a Mary Sue, a well done Sue though ^ ^. Did the elves really have to fade? In any case, wonderful writing, hope to see an update in the near future.

*cries* This fic is amazing! The writing is gorgeous, so descriptive and just beautiful. Damrod and Anne's slowly developing courtship was lovely, it wasn't about the Fellowship or the Ring, it was about two people falling in love.
And this chapter, just tear my heart out! *more crying*

BTW, is there a prequel to this?

Wow, this is still really intense. Poor Buffy. She's running again. I expected her to start with the pounding, maybe not for herself but when the boy was threatened.
Great job at keeping us still hooked.
