The muse and I fought over Pausanias to the bitter end. In fact, the original version of this chapter had him hale and hearty when the curtains closed. Unfortunately, the muse pointed out that it didn't make sense and cheapened the story. *sigh* I hate it when she's right.

Don't hold your breath for a sequel ;) I managed to hit all the plot points I wanted. However, don't be surprised if I trot out this pairing for some PWPs later. *eg*

WOW!!!!!! Now that is an ending. You have Faith getting the girl after choosing to keep the girl. Buffy makes a cameo wondering what the hell has been going (hilarious) and Phoebe killing P-vamp was perfect retribution for killing her lover.

Glad you enjoyed the final chapter. I had to bring Buffy in. Can you imagine her NOT showing up to help out? And really...Can you see Faith as an angel?

I kinda hope that Pausanias will survive even though it probably isn't an option because of his sense of duty as I kinda think that Faith and him would be a great pair (even though he is a non-souled vampire).

Thanks. Pausanias is one of the muse's favorites, too. He and Faith really do work together. He, like the Mayor, is a father figure for her, and he seems to genuinely care for her.

The muse and I are in negotiations over his eventual fate *g*

I think you are right. The PtB made a mistake when the offered Faith a family and a love - and then took them away. They are just asking for a return of Dark Faith.

Great update. Well, Paige has been found. Too bad Faith can't tell anybody. Plus, she doesn't know about Phoebe yet either. Respect or not, Faith will annihilate the countless vampires including the General himself.

*g* yes, poor Faith. I'm sure she'd love to carry her information to Piper and the new gang. I'm just don't think the muse is going to let her out of the Underground. We're in negotiations over that point (and a few others). Stay tuned. I'm working on the next chapter over the weekend.
