Is this a Buffy crossover? For the shinigami guy sounds like a manga/anime character. Or are you only using him so that Esther can be meet/reunited/reborn with one of the Scoobies. Is she the soul of an Scooby?

I think she's going to meet a Scooby at the Soul Society. You were hinting on it. "... Of course, it might take a century or two... or longer... hehhe.."
