Wow! Really enjoyed this fic so far, especially the characterization of Alec and his self-jealousy and -doubts & the changes to Max. I also liked that the timeline changes weren't all positive. Temporal messing about ("saving" the past especially) is more complicated than we assume & I'm glad you put that in here.

One nitpick - this isn't actually a BtVS crossover & that should be noted in the fic category/ summary header. (I don't know how, but s/one here does!)

I look forward to reading more!

I love the idea of Max and Alec together. I just wish they wouldn't have ended the show with Max holding hands with stupid Logan.
I'm not sure what the ramifications will be about Joshua killing Ames or just the idea that Ames is dead in general. Is that evil woman going to take his place?
I was having a tough time remembering who CJ was so I actually had to look him up online to make sure I had the right guy. Is he going to be a central plot line to the story?
How will CeCe and Biggs being alive effect the outcome of the story?
I have a bunch of questions going through my mind but I guess I'll just have to wait for you to update again. So update soon please!

Your version of the Jam Pony incident was fantastic, and I like the fact that there are some things that Max just can't change, or that change on her although she is trying, like Johsua killing White (way overdue).
The Alec shower scene with the towel was just an instant smile-giver.
And Alec getting caught with his pants down (doesn't he just wish it were so ) at the end made me laugh.

Sorry, sorry, I know I just reviewed, but I hit submit before I remembered that I wanted to say how awesome the story tittle is!

One of the main ideas behind Dark Angel is about the decline of a nation after an electro magnetic pulse shorts out all the computers turning the U.S. into a class driven society where the rich get richer and the poor get screwed. Even though dependence on technology is part of what got us into this mess, those with power are those who have the best technology, and it makes for an intriguing sci-fi thriller. Which is a really round about way of saying that I love the symbolism of "Control, Alt, Delete", which is of course what you push when you're at the end of your rope and don't know what to do b/c your computer is trashed to hell and not responding, so you reboot. The parallel being drawn to Max's situation in the first chapter, when the world was pretty much ending and there was nothing else she could try, so somehow, (I'm counting on you for the answer to this one), her world reboots.

Of course you already know all this, since you're the one that wrote it and chose the tittle, I just wanted to say how amazing it is and that I love the way your brain works :-)

I've been on a major Max/Alec kick thanks to "you tube" so imagine my joy when I found this, it's perfect! I love the time travel angle, which gets us past Max's trouble with Alec and right into her loving him. I'm loving your take on the events that took place over the last few episodes of the series. I can't wait to see what you do next! Although I may never forgive you for killing Alec in the first chapter :-(

I'm not that keen on the whole concept of neck scarring - its vampiric rather than animalistic.

Don't get defensive - this is a review statement in that it is hard to work out for a Dark Angel writer just how much non ape behaviour the x5s will show.

Apart from hickeys which don't leave a scar on human furless apes, (Thank god) Furry Apes do not go around biting each other on the neck, not even orangatauns that mate for life.

X5s are made from black panther genes, black panthers do not scar their mates throat because it could not be seen under the fur and they do not mate for life.

Unless this is some mystical angle you're going with the scarring, 'blood is the life' 'blood brothers' thing.

EH its a manticore thing.... i'm more than positive i mentioned the mating mark before... Newho, i dunno. its just a manticore/transgenic thing... they have so many different types of animal DNA in them that the behavior patterns could be all kaflookey? Alphas will mark their mate to show YO SHES MINE SO BACK OFF... y'know? Eh, just go with it, LOL

And I love Mole! Do you really think i could kill him off? And though I find Joshua annoying... he's a part of the story.... for now! ;0)
