I love this wonderful fic so far. I really hope that in the next chapter Buffy gets herself emancipated. Speaking of said chapter, is your muse going to let you be inspired to update this wonderfully excellent fic again soon? Again I love this.

Good story so far, however I need to correct something:

Faith's first watcher was a FEMALE... And it's established in that first episode where she appears... These are easy facts to get right. Great writers get these things right or correct them if they make a mistake... It's fine to go of the reservation if you're making up characters that don't exist, but if you're trying for continuity, you HAVE to get it right.

Great update. I'm sorry, but what exactly was Hank expecting. He's pretty much ignored his daughter since the move to Sunnydale. He should be glad that she didn't resort to violence. Nicely done, RM.

Arrggh! I've discovered that I don't mind reading angsty stuff if I start reading *after* it's been mostly resolved in the story. If I have to *wait* for it to be resolved, not so much. ;-)

I agree about Hank. He was a total SOB from my point of view. Faith's first watcher was a woman but I don't remember the name off the top of my head. Great story, so far, but I can't wait for it to get past the hospital and custody thing and on into some vamp action. Of course, you have to have the obligatory morgue scene with our favorite Miami ME and a fledgling. Maybe Xander could be there as a helper since Speed would want him close? Just a thought.

Of course Alexx has to have a vampire on her table. It just wouldn't do without one ^^

*holds up 'I Hate Hank Summers Fan Club card* great update. It seems maybe the both CSIs are getting a houseguest especially if Hank shows up and acts like Hank. And hey with Faith in town, the Sunnydale crew can move to Miami.

Faith's watcher was never named in the show. In the novel "Go Ask Malice", the author gave her watcher the name of Diana Dormer. Most fans tend to treat the novels as just another form of fanfiction (although they do get paid, darnit), and ignore anything from them that doesn't suit them. I say you should go for it and keep Patrick.

I was a little worried when I read the scene where the unknown CSI was talking to Jessica Harris on the phone, thinking, dang, I hope that isn't Horatio. I was happy indeed, and can totally see it, when it turned out that Speed was his uncle.

Aside from knowing that Faith's first Watcher was a woman she had to watch being tortured to death by Kakistos, I don't know much else about her. Somehow, I think the character you've created instead makes a better 'fit' for wild-child Faith. I also like how even though you still have her as an intense/living large personality, she doesn't seem as dark here as she did in canon.

It'll be interesting to see how you plan on arranging the legalities so both the kids can stick around Miami. I think Xander will be the easier case since I can't see Tony spending any money in lawyers fees to fight over custody. I can see a potential battle over Buffy since her mom thinks she belongs back in Sunnydale with her, her dad would probably support Calleigh, Calleigh will probably want her to stay away from Sunnydale and wouldn't mind her sticking around Miami, and Buffy will want to stay near Xander. Looking forward to more soon.

It's a good chapter. Faith's first watcher was a woman, but i couldn't find anywhere her name was mentioned

Her first watcher's name was Linda, I believe. And then it became Wesley for both Buffy and Faith when Giles was fired.

Anyhow, nice work on the story so far, and I look forward to reading some more!
