I've got an idea that's been floating around the ol' noggin. You ready? Xander Harris and Abraham Whistler. Two men who lost someone to vampires, two men who swore wipe every one of them from existence, two men who found themselves in the world of Anita Blake where it's illegal to hunt vampires. A partnership, a father-son bond, and a whole lot of trouble. The type of prey may have changed but the hunting methods haven't.
Do ya like it? That's my general idea.
