I freely admit that my knowledge of 'Gilmore Girls' is second-hand at best- I just heard a bit about it and read some basic background info on the net-, so I can't say how you've used the characters from that series here, but as for the characters from "Stargate"...

DAMN, this is some good work.

I mean, Homeworld Security discovers the existence of McKay's illegitimate daughter with an intellect that could probably make some of the ASGARD sit up and take notice, she joins the SGC on the recommendation of General Jack O'Neill while simultaneously developing an at-least-slight crush on Colonel Mitchell and an almost mother/daughter- possibly older sister, I admit; it's just that Vala mentioning Adria has me slightly more inclined towards the first one- relationship with Vala-, and now she's meeting her father for the first time in...

Hell, EVER (That brief meeting on Earth didn't count; they never really SPOKE back then).

What is NOT to find interesting about that?

Admittedly, her rapidly advanced intellect DOES raise a few questions, but I'm willing to put that aside in favour of seeing how things go for McKay on a personal level here.

After all, imagine how it might go if he ends up taking her back to meet his sister, to say NOTHING of what'll happen if he and Lorelai meet up again after all these years...

'Awkward' is so far from the word to describe the situation that if it was any further away it would be coming back towards the original word.

(Just one question; will we ever learn what kept Atlantis cut off from the SGC for six months?)

My heart sang when it saw the update. It's still singing now that I've finished the chapter. Jolly good show, loving the interactions (and in Rodney's case, reactions) between characters. Hopefully this will tide me over til the next time you update a fic.

Great writing, as usual. I'm looking forward to seeing Rory interact more with the Atlantis personnel, and more importantly, with Rodney. I wonder how getting her father's general approval (or not) will affect her, she seems so fragile...

Wonderful meeting chapter. I am still endlessly ammused by how Rory can get distracted and drawn off by things around her. I'm intrigued to know if light is really that messed up around the gates and only Rory can notice it, and had to wince along with John when confronted by something that he thought wouldnt ever come up as a real issue. I look forward to see what sort of longer term reactions will set in.

Yes, finally a new chapter! :-) It is yet another well written chapter. The only negative point is that it was to short.
I will be impatiently awaiting the next chapter; so please write more quickly.

Wow, so McKay's panicking, Rory's super-depressed, Sam's feeling awkward, and John's buried way far down on the shit-list. I am SOOO very happy to see this new chapter! I reread the previous chapter too, and wanted to say that I love Vala's "Can't stop here, it's bat country" line. I really hope John will find a way to pacify McKay, although I figure that's going to be a bit of a long haul. Will the rest of the base find out that Rory's McKay's offspring anytime soon? I'd say that no one is likely to let it slip with how McKay reacted to Rory, but then McKay's got to rant to someone, and it likely won't be John. I can't wait to see how McKay and Rory get along after this! Thank you so very very very much for writing!

So, I don't know how I missed this story for so long, but I just read the whole thing and I love it.

Also, Chapter 12 now has me envisioning the entire SGC staff slacking off of their duties to play Portal.

I really liked Rodney's response to finding out about Rory so far. Also his response to John having known about it. The Rory/John banter abut the luggage tag was good.

I was so glad to see an update. I absolutely love this fic. It is so wonderfully written. Your Rory is just awesomely portrayed. Actually you do a pretty damn good job on all of the characterizations, Vala especially. (Really love the Vala/Rory friendship.) Your haven't rushed the plot either and it really works. I saver each chapter you update.

As a side note, for some stange reason a thought hit me about Tristan Dugray being on Atlantis as one of the Marines. Since he was shipped off to military school he could have joined up after graduation and made it to the elite fighters and got assigned to Atlantis. Be a good way to bring a male her age around for UST. Though I am enjoying her little crush on Cameron.

Anyway, Good job and look forward to more.

Honestly I can't not go on enough about how wonderfully well written this story is. I don't know how I could have over looked it for all these months. I'm just glad that I had the urge to click on it. Now I don't actually watch Gilmore girls, in fact I've only watched it a few times (with my brother who has a thing for Loralia) but from what I have seen of it you've captured the characters beautifully. Oh and about capturing characters, it's so nice to see a well written Vala piece, can't say how nice it was to read. Well I'm getting a little long winded by this point, so I'll just leave you with the review phrase you've come to expect so much. "I love this, please update soon!"
