It explains so much!
I can see it now, Gibbs hanging around the Security Station drinking coffee, suddenly he sees Abby jumping up and down with her arms in the air like she's proclaiming a touchdown. Gibbs rushes down to Abby's lab, stopping momentarily to steady his breathing, before waltzing in nonchalantly in with a gruff "What 'cha got Abbs?"

As silly as it seems in retrospect, that never occurred to me. I've always been a believer in the "Gibbs is omniscient, get used to it" way of thinking. I still am, but I can see him getting a hand every now and again.

That was definitely worth a chuckle.
And an insight into Gibbs, I've always figured it to be a coincidence thing. :)
