Better late than never. I'm not sure what the hell happened yesterday, but apparently I forgot to look this over. *hangs head in shame*

Running commentary review - commencing now:

Dude - you broke the Impala! How could you injure her tape deck?

**“I don’t have weeks,” the man replied..." Ouch. That line hurt. *sobs*

Yay for Tony stepping in and saving the day. Because I'm sure a few more minutes of Dean talking to Troy and Troy would been strangled to death from an irritated Dean.

Poor Tony. I just want to hurt his father so badly for ruining his childhood. And then there's Dean who loved his father so very much, only to have him sacrifice himself so Dean would live. Both boys have a lot of daddy issues.

Awww - they bonded and of course they touched on women, fast cars, great action/spy movies, and the real kicker is Saturday morning cartoons.

**“I can’t say it’s a lifesaver, but at least the car will be fixed up right,” he added quietly.** Again with the ouchies. Darn you!

Oh noes Dean, you just realized that your pal is a government agent. That stinks. And I don't blame him for completely shutting down and then getting the hell out of dodge!

Don't do it Tony - don't make that call - don't put the Feds back on Dean's trail!!

Nice contrast there - with Tony wanting to trust his gut about Dean not being a murderer and Tony trusting his gut with the convict and almost getting killed in the process. It's going to be a tough decision for Tony - given his gut instincts on both.

Yay for Tony doing more research. Yay! Go Tony, follow your gut, trust Dean!!

Nice comparison between John and Gibbs. They both do have similar personalities.

Interesting! This is a great little story. It makes me wish that Tony could have another talk with Dean. I'm glad he went deeper into the research to give Dean a chance. Thanks for sharing this with us!

Nice crossover! I don't believe I've read an NCIS/SPN xover before. Next time Dean (or Sam) gets into legal trouble (meaning where he (or they) get caught) will Tony (or Gibbs) try to take the case? After all, their father was a Marine.

Sorry I know I'm usually more coherent than this, but that was brilliant! *Squeeeaaalllkk* (a combo squeal/squeak)

I've never read a NCIS/Supernatural crossover before, and I am so glad that you're the one who did it (I also hope the fad catches on). You did such a great job bringing out the similarities between Tony and Dean, I always had a suspicion they'd be friends, or at least be able to bond over women, cars, and cinema. You also did a nice job tying Gibbs and John together, both being Marines, both loosing the woman they loved, John almost lost Sam that night, and Gibbs lost Kelly. Tony and Dean have more in common too, both older brother figures, right hand man of "father", and both are younger versions of Gibbs and John. The correlations between Gibbs/John, and Tony/Dean are really interesting, and I'd love to see you do more with them.

I like that you kept it small for the first meeting, only Tony and Dean really appear in the story, it left great potential to be flushed out in later stories (I'm not good at subtle). Even if you leave it as a stand alone, this was a well done tale of a chance encounter between these two characters. I especially liked the way you had Dean sizing Tony up and doing a threat assessment on him, and how Tony noticed the change in Dean's body language when he learned Tony was with NCIS. I also loved that in the end Tony trusted his instincts about Dean, even if he had to ask WWGD first.

So, great job, and I hope to see more.... Soon please?

There are a lot of comparisons between them, aren't there? I've got rough ideas of some John and Gibbs related fics playing on the marine connection. I wanted that WWGD moment in there because we know that Tony uses that as his little mantra when making decisions. Tony knew the pieces didn't add up in the cases against Dean and that things were hinky. Not sure what I'll be doing next, but if you another awesome NCIS/SPN fic that focuses more on the NCIS people (Abby specifically) and has a great Gibbs moment, check out NCIS and the Haunted Computer by tassosss.
