Just re-reading this story and remembering how much I love it! As for pairing, I definitely would love one and am open to anything...although, the idea of Buffy with Graham is intriguing. I was wondering if we can expect an update any time soon since it's been 5 months since you left us with this cliffhanger? :)

Oh, this isn't good. I can't remember what Graham's view was on Buffy, but for him to be playing lapdog to Kinsey on this trip isn't good news. Though you'd think the fact that she kept the secret of the Initiative *secret* would say something. I can't wait to find out what happens next. As for the paring, I'm not sure, but there should most definitely be a strong Jack and Buffy friendship, they are just hilarious together... :D

You know Buffy Graham would be cool, and refreshingly different. I saw someone suggest him in a review and decided I had to say that sounds wicked awesome. I hope he helps turn things around on Kinsey. Besides it was need to know only highly restricted info. I would think that she kept it secret would make them feel better about her being able to keep the Stargate program a secret too.

Great update. and as for a pairing please please do have one. I Love Buffy Cam, I am kind of tired of Buffy and Daniel. (though if written well I love them too) Buffy Jack seems too weird to me, (Jack reminds me of my dad in many ways) though I have read some darn good ones. But Buffy Teal'c is rare and could be really cool.

So my vote is for Buffy and Cam or Buffy and Teal'c. I guess my next votes would be Paul Davis, Martouff or Nareem could be cool too. Then Daniel then Jack.

Graham. Interesting. He's never indicated an actual dislike for Buffy. In fact, he was always a contrast to Forrest's vaguely misogynistic distaste for the Slayer; I recall him being rather impressed and (for Graham) enthusiastic about her joining the Initiative before Walsh's attempted assassination. In later appearances she and Graham were, if not friendly, at least professional with each other. His only reservations about her came in regards to Riley's loss of self-respect. The crack about "mission's boyfriend" seemed to be about Finn losing his sense of higher purpose than a put down about Buffy's character.

As for pairing...I think gen might make a better fit here. Daniel, Jack, and Teal'c seem to be more comrades in arms than love interests. I wonder if she will compare them to the Scoobies as time goes by...

I'm always up for the rarely-seen but potentially interesting pairing of Buffy and Graham (who always seemed too stiff not to be hiding a lot of feelings), now that you've introduced him into your story (and please tell me he's not a WILLING servant of Kinsey's agenda?).

Meanwhile, glad you're continuing with this, though Kinsey always makes my fillings ache whenever he appears in canon or fanon.

That's interesting.... Graham. As I recall, he never liked Buffy much (formed his opinion of her when Faith was in her body & she didn't care that Riley was injured)--I'm amazed he'd go behind Riley's back like this (if that's what he's doing)
Ok--one thing--even if Kinsey is a US Senator, he does NOT have any authority over the US military. None. Nada. Zilch. He can threaten to cut appropriations, he can call people in for testimony; and the military is not going to want to pick a fight with congress. BUT Hammond can throw his ass off the base anytime he wants to. Just something to keep in mind. The problem now is, Buffy has been lying to them. heh....
Her best bet now? "Sorry, it's all classified". ie tell the SGC that she with-held info because it's on a strictly "need to know" basis. Which is true, when you think about it. ALSO that it isn't relevant -- what & who she is on earth is not what they were asking her about. Her testimony has been about off world stuff, and that's all true... Might be time for her to make a phone call though...

While Kinsey doesn't have control of the military, he does have a large chunk of control over their budgets (or at least that was what I got the impression of on the show, so do correct me if I'm wrong). As such, I'm using the 'if u don't do what i say i'll withdraw funding' approach.
