Review of chapter "Epilogue: Guilty, Guilty, Guilty" from (2007%20Donor)hellmouthprincess
Review:
Great fic. You write a brilliant Veronica Mars (and all the other characters) but you really capture her as the narrator. Would love to see a sequel and see you tackle season two (though that could be difficult as some of the major S2 mysteries effectively can't happen now in your AU verse).

Review of chapter "Breathless" from Piperkat
Review:
OK, for the most part I love this story, but I do have one nitpick with this chapter:

There is no way that Trina took down a deer with a .22. A .22 is pretty much a small game round--taking down a deer or any game animal that size requires something much more powerful, or an unbelievably lucky shot.
Interestingly, a .22 DOES work well in the context of "Trina was just trying to wound and not kill Veronica", as anything other than a head or vital organ shot with a .22 generally won't kill a human, assuming proper medical care.
Minor thing, but it took me out of the story.

Review of chapter "Epilogue: Guilty, Guilty, Guilty" from (2007%20Donor)Shieldage
Review:
Very good. I'm with the group of people who only started reading it once it had reached 60+ chapters... Weird..

Excellent writing. I've seen maybe five episodes of Veronica Mars, mainly the Christmas party, the teacher's potential affair with his student and the women's bathroom scene with Beaver...

My main complaint was how the point from which Veronica was narrating the story kept constantly shifting forwards into the future. Though I guess that's in keeping with the style of the show - it's slightly annoying here... Fortunately your writing skills have improved as I've no complaints with the execution of Martian Manhunter.

Great and fairly constant resolution of various plot points throughout the story. Neat AU. Excellent pacing.

Ha! I was completely shocked to read an author's note late in the story and see that Vanessa Mencken had always been your original character; her creation and relevant plot points integrated seamlessly with everything else.

Nice to see Veronica getting steady and guilt-free doses of love. Heh, too bad about all the various ... um, 'sidequests', that she passed up investigating in favor of what was going on in her life, but hey things happen when you mess with continuity.

Very well described and evolving characters... Really put me in touch with the essence of the show and makes me want to track down episodes... I really enjoyed the constantly changing author's notes and disclaimers... That's enough review for now.

The main thing is: Thanks, enjoyable read.

*loves and cuddles to death*

Really, really well-plotted, first to last; interesting "what if?" executed with style; believable characterization and plotting for Trina; and I love the way you smoothed out the stupider bits of Veronica and Logan's romance.

YAY!

And I wish there was more already...

Great story. Great start to a great AU universe, too. (hint!) Characters were all in character, good plot, good action.

Review of chapter "Epilogue: Guilty, Guilty, Guilty" from Fyrloche
Review:
Interesting 'little' piece. Makes me want to find out who 'Veronica Mars' is and where I can find the show. And you can add me to the people who found this and couldn't stop reading category. Strange thing, that. I've got you on my favorite authors list and this story kept popping up with a chapter add but I never got around to reading it for some reason until just a couple of days ago. I guess it was because I have no idea who the heck 'Veronica Mars' is, but you have done a good job of selling her to me and now I want to find out. Good story, but the way. I thoroughly enjoyed it. And maybe I won't wait so long to read something next time. Later.

I frakking loved this story of yours! I laughed, I cried, I nearly spit Mt. Dew all over my monitor, your story really drew me in. I have spent way too much time over the past three days reading your story when I really should have been doing other things. Like sleeping. Terrific job on everyone's characters, Veronica's voice overs, and your AU plot. I really like your BtVS stories, but your VM stories are so true to the spirit of VM you are darn near scary. I look forward to more entertainment from your fertile and bizarre imagination. Thanks for all the fun.

Yes, you absolutely ARE evil :) Great story, I do hope you'll write a sequel.

Was the 66 chapters coincidental? (And no, I'm definitely not talking about 666 here.) Just curious.

Review of chapter ""Fire with Fire, Veronica Mars."" from Marcel
Review:
I had to comment on this: I've seen you discuss the "no shoes" proverb before. Its intended meaning is different: fixing the "no shoes" problem is easy: get some shoes. Fixing the "no feet" problem is much harder. It's another way of putting what we tell kids: yes, the problems you have now seem large (your 6-th grade boyfriend looked at another girl, you chipped a tooth, you failed an exam, whatever). Do not blow it out of proportion - there are kids who will commit suicide because they were dumped. Try to figure out that there are more serious problems out there, and if you react this badly to a comparatively minor issue, you'll become catatonic when you get fired.

It's not about not complaining, it's about perspective and emotional maturity.
Comments from author:
-- Yes, but those are all actual problems. They may not be "have no feet" level, but they're not "dropped my pen," either.

I have no problem with telling people not to blow things out of proportion, but I do have a problem with telling people with real problems to suck it up because someone else's problems are worse than theirs.

And that's what the proverb means to me, and why I don't like it.

Review:
I have never actually seen an episode of Veronica Mars, but I decided to read your story anyways. I am very glad that I did, since I enjoyed it despite my lack of knowledge about the show or any of its characters. And once I started, I couldn't stop reading; that's definitely true.

Sequel or no sequel -- that ending was indeed evil -- I have to say that I love this fic.

Review of chapter "Epilogue: Guilty, Guilty, Guilty" from DigiEmissary
Review:
You're morally obligated to write a sequel so Meg can save her sister from her parents. Plus the cliffhanger at the end needs resolution, and they need to get rid of Woody somehow.

All of that basically sums up to "pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease?" ;)

Review:
This has been a truly excellent fic, as are all of yours that I've read. Honestly, I'd love a sequel - as you said, some loose ends are not tied up - but...inspiration can be fleeting.

But, hey, you've got at least one guaranteed reader!

So, yeah, I suck at reviewing, but it was a great fic, and I can't wait to see what you publish next.

VERY nice - deftly resolves most of S1 and a lot of S2 and even some S3 I suspect.
