i really like this. you captured dawn's attitude of "why me" really well. can't wait for an update. :)

I'm greatly enjoying the fic. How tragic for the Weasley's to loose another child. Dawn really got her wish this time. Not meaning to sound, well...mean. But how horribly twisted. It's like the Greek gods fulfilling wishes to their worshippers, but screwing them at the same time.

I like the idea of Dawn-as-researcher. She'd be good at it. Dawn always wanted to understand the WHY of things.

Then again, a 'benevolent' wish demon is a concept that bears further exploration.

My thinking is that D'Hoffryn's girls are wonderfully twisted in that they actually think they're doing their clients favors, when in actuality they're just screwing everything to bits and pieces. No wish turns out they way people think it would, and honestly I think the warning against wishing is more because people say stupid things under duress.

So Dawn's wish gets her someone to share her pain with, but it also increases that pain. D'Hoffryn wins. Halfrek wins. Dawn... well, we'll see, won't we?

so...the only brunette in a family of redheads, but nobody notices? heh.... at least it's after the whole Voldemort thing, that's a plus... And, it is possible to break a wish from a vengeance demon (as Giles did in "The Wish") ..though it takes planning, and a careless vd....then again Dawn now presumably has a wand & some magical power?
Next question, would anybody in the wizarding world notice she's actually a ball of green glowing energy?
