Sweet! I love Vampire Hunter D and I commend you for using this fandom for a YAHF as it's unused (first time I've seen it put into practice, at least) and also for keeping us in suspense as to the "unfortunate" person wearing the costume. I liked the twist but I'm not sure Dawn will be able to keep Left Hand from outing her, he'll make lewd comments at the wrong moment, I just know it. But I would absolutely adore seeing this continued.

Glad that you liked. Vampire Hunter D is one of a rather short list of anime that I've seen, and I've wanted to play with it for quite a while. It just didn't seem like something that would easily mesh with BtVS. And I couldn't picture Xander dressing as D.

As for Left Hand outing Dawn... well, just because she plans for things to stay a secret doesn't mean her plans will go smoothly.

I will point out that Dawn didn't learn about Buffy being the Slayer until some time into s5, and we can't attribute that entirely to her not previously existing... well, maybe, but... I despise retroactive continuity. I'm going to go with the firm statement that as of this time (s2 Halloween) when Buffy was 16 and Dawn... 12 sounds about right, as of now, Dawn doesn't know that Buffy's anything other than an annoying older sister.
