Aaron might still get found guilty of less than one would think--he's a celebrity and like OJ (just to pull a random example) sometimes they get treated different....but, good job Veronica! Might as well make her president now and save her the trouble.
That "Kane Scholarship" is hers! And now Celeste, while not liking her, will dislike her a lot less.. funny.

Brutal, but - hey, she's much more effective/efficient in resolving plots than canon Veronica. She's cutting down months of intrigue into days at the most... consistently :D

"I love it when a plan comes together!" Golly gee whiz but Veronica is a clever little sociopath. I thought about a possible future with your Veronica as President of the US, after a wonderful career as an FBI agent of course, and was worried for a moment. But then I considered some of our previous Presidents and figured "What the heck?" Why chose the lesser of two evils when we could vote for the best of two evils. Lol!

I so love Evil Veronica. Of course I would not like to be alone in a room with her. Heck, I'm not to sure I'd want to be on the same planet with her if she ever gets any real power. She does make a wonderful anti-hero though. Lol! I so look forward to Aaron getting the shaft. Especially since in this universe he is innocent. Well, innocent of Lily's murder. Lol!

ah--so they can testify that while she was trying, she had not yet opened the vent...good idea. Her fallback plan might have been --give the tape to Clarence Weidman.... but that would give him too much power over her.
Thinking over the series--VM might not be a sociopath, but she's not that far off when you come down to it. Especially in the first season when she's all alone and fine with it, and coldly 'dealing' with anybody who disses her, while pursuing her investigation. her 'tit for tat' with Logan & others was very cool...also her dealing with Weevil's gang using a taser & Backup.... either no emotions or very strong emotional control (I think people criticized Rob T. that she was 'too collected' & that's why they had her lose in the FitzP's bar later on & need rescue by Logan)---

This is brilliant. And it can't help but boost Trina's career. No more "3rd dead hooker" on CSI for her. Maybe 2nd or 1st.....
Amusingly, Celeste might start liking VM a little bit--gets her hubby out of jail, proves Duncan didn't do it, and is with somebody else. heh.....
The only flaw I can see in this is the idea Aaron would actually keep the Lily tapes around for a year...but I suppose he's stupid and has a massive ego...

Sweet. This reminds me of the part in 'Death Becomes Him' where she is seriously tempted to say 'Backup, kill' and get rid of... Wait, what? Ten chapters in and no mention of the dog? Ominous. :)

This is fun! Kind of reminds me of "Flashman" if you know what I mean. This girl could be president someday. And would probably do a darned good job of it, too. Can you imagine if Clarence worked for her? yikes.

hm...decisions, decisions. Weevil is a great suspect. Who doesn't distrust 'gang leaders' after all... Aaron is a hard target--he's very popular, he was able to beat the rap even when he WAS guilty....on the other hand, if VM could get hold of a tape of him with Lily, there'd be the motive ---
I like how you're following the tv plot arc, but in a darker way---still hoping Vm finds out about Mac's birth/substitution thing, and uses it to ruin Madison (while making it look like she's "helping" mac)--

Great. Entirely twisted. I like how just that one little change affects every single thing. The voice is dead-on too, which is a feat.

Once again, wow! Your Veronica is just so wonderfully twisted. I learned while being polygraphed that a "lie detector" doesn't really detect lies. It detects the differences in your body's reaction to you telling a lie or telling the truth. Basically if detects your guilty reaction to a lie. Since V doesn't have any guilt, there was nothing to detect. Sweet! Now I wonder if she will find out she is the guilty party when she investigates Lily's murder. Lol! I would love to see V frame Aaron for the murder just because I hated his guts on the show. Lol!

I find your Veronica very interesting. And while most people would assume she would be caught the fact is less intelligent psychopaths end up in prisons but highly intelligent psychopaths can often be found running successful businesses. Besides, given that there are so many other people that could benefit or be blamed for Lily's death it is unlikely that they would look to her best friend as the guilty party and even if they did she is unlikely to be convicted because of reasonable doubt. I am curious as to how she will eventually dispose of Duncan since she is very image conscious and I doubt Logan will want to remain on the side given how prone he is to showing affection. I'm also rather curious about Cassidy history and just what Veronica will do about it.

Anyways, its a great story and I can't wait to see where you go with it.
