This was awesome and beautiful and fantastic in ways I can't even begin to describe. If you ever write a sequel you'll make me the happiest girl in the whole wide world.

Ever thought about a sequel?

I really enjoyed this story. My heart was breaking when Jack found out about Ianto being an alien. The cold fury and just the brokeness about them both was gut-wrenching. The time loop thing was really interesting; thought it was a formatting mistake at first. ;) I absolutely loved the Monty Python reference. And the perception filter working especially well on Gwen was too funny. My only criticism is that the Doctor seemed too out of character. Him being so openly hostile towards Jack and Ianto both was weird. And him refusing to help stop a very serious threat to the Earth just because he didn't want to work with Torchwood...not very Doctorly. But still, an excellent premise and execution. It was really great that you didn't change Ianto's personality once he found out he was a Time Lord; he is still the same person he's always been, after all. Wow, I just went on and on, huh? Anyway, the main point is excellent job! Keep up the awesome writing.

Finally watched the rest of the season, so I finally read the rest of the story. And it was well worth the wait!

Beautifully done. The character voice were on and the story just made so much sense - as if it just couldn't be any other way.

lovely story I have only started watching torchwood this year.
It nice to see some depth from the character I've come to think of as the piece of furniture that occaisonally kisses Jack.

Wonderful story, great characterizations and good plot. Are there going to be any sequels?

That was wonderful! Brilliant! I never liked how the Doctor treated Jack on the show after they meet up again. I loved the way you dealt with some of the trauma Jack must be hiding. I think this is one of my favorite Ianto/Jack stories ever. You really did a brillant job keeping in character and explaining how their minds worked. I know you wrapped it up nicely but I would still love to see a sequal with Jack and Ianto traveling with the Doctor. And I'd loved to see Martha's reaction to finding out Ianto's a time lord. Also very original take on making the watching a very high perception filter instead of like the Master's watch. Bravo!

Jack catching on is explained in chapter two -- there is a reason he's been slow on the uptake :)
