This is the 2nd time I've read this... it was as enjoyable as the first time around!

I liked the story up to this point... and I still do somewhat, but you wrote a story which feels like "Potter with bits of Buffy" rather than "Buffy with bits of Potter" and because so much of the atmosphere of the earlier books is irrevocably dependant on childhood innocence, death of a non-evil character in a Potter story causes internal inconsistencies by nature. In fact, I have a theory that this trait is what caused Rowling to get writer's block on the fifth book.

This is an awesome AU, and I'm not a Harry Potter fan. I like how you gave Xander the role as big brother to Harry, and how Snape is like a mentor to him. The confrontation between Xan and Lucius and Xan handing Gilderoy's ass to him both classic.

I never saw the B5 shows but I've read the books and I know that Technomages are extremely powerful (one incident is where a technomage destroyed the population of an entire planet.) And because after Halloween Xander didn't retain any of Galen's memories which only gives him the problem of using a power he can't control. (Maybe you can do flashback of him using his powers to destroy the Judge but ends up destroying half the mall as well.) I also like how Xander is becoming a thorn on Voldemort's side. (I think mostly because he doesn't understand him, and men always fear what they don't understand.) Anyway I wish you could continue this series and hopefully Xan will get a nice ship going on with someone from the HP verse, maybe go back to the ship between him and Tonks . Keep it up man.

Nice pick up to your leaving off point. Glad you found the beginnings of the next part of this arc. For some reason I hear Matthew McConahey in my head when reading the Todd part. Was wondering just who's voice came to mind as you wrote it? Am continually enjoying the sly and nearly friend like demeanor between Xander and Snape.

Side note, would wonder how a meeting between Metatron and Severus would go? Just lots of dry wit and glowering?

Hope the next chapter is Xander confronting Moaning Myrtle. After her flirtatious attitude towards Harry in Goblet of Fire would like to see something similar with Xander as he is closer to her age. Also am guessing, but likely to see Ginny either partially depetrify or completely come out of it due to Xander's kiss to fingers to her forehead. Seems the likely avenue you have set in place. Having never read the Technomage books or watched Babylon 5 I am enjoying discovering how your takes on their incoporation into this world you have are playing out.

Oh, you might want to make some mention of continued communication and placement within the BTVS timeline so in case you do bleed them together there isn't any jumping around. Also might be fun to see what they do without him. How is Faith getting along? There is still some Zombie trouble to come right or did that all play out last year? See I think I forgot and so too may have those who haven't reread the beginning recently. Not a big thing, but it is something that further ties the world's together and builds Xander's needed homesickness that would help drive him to return if only for a summer or a brief crisis.

Ah, yes. The old 'blame my vacationing muse' excuse. *grins* I've used that one a few times myself. There are times when you know where you want to go but you just can't seem to get there. Good to see a chapter for this story. By the way, you've got a minor spelling error in the paragraph about Ginny being petrified and Xander's feelings about it. You have the word 'last' instead of 'lash'. Minor stuff, but a word processing program won't catch it because the word was not, technically, misspelled. Why do I get the feeling that 'Todd' is based on Jack Black? I look forward to more. (From this one and your others.) Later.
