So I just re-read the story from the beginning and I get the impression it started in the middle of a plotline. Are you going to write what happened before Ardeth showed up in Sunnydale and how exactly he came about to being Xander's guardian (via flashbacks or exposition or something), or is this already posted in another story? If so, could you provide a link, maybe in your next post, or by making this story part 2 of a series?

The challenge was that Xander's mother killed his real father (Evi Killed RIck) and the story starts after she's found out and arrested. Blame the person who issued the challenge for that, not me.

There's another thing that may have played a role in the children's low scores - the Hellmouth. It's possible that the radiation it generates may have a dulling effect on the human mind. The mayor saw to it that general test scores were inflated enough so that no one would notice.

it's not radiation, just evil. It is not a nuclear waste dump. and maybe its magic does but it still has to be addressed and they ahve to be up to par if anyone wnats to graduate now that the state has taken over. the state is higher than the city/town and the governor said it was getting fixed or else

I am always pleased to find Angel involved in these stories. I think he has something to offer if only because of his age and experience. I am enjoying your Mummy xovers.

It's very interesting and I like that the supernatural community are afraid of Ardeth.
It's in my understanding that Xander's father is Rick O'Connell and his mom is Evie. And Evie killed Rick and moved away with Xan. So she married again but to Ardeth's half brother (Am i right so far) Then you say that you mention Uncle Jon, is that Evie's brother or is that Ardeth half brother?
I wonder if Ardeth will insist on a change of Xander's wardrobe 'cause really those Hawaiian shirt are ugly.

Uhm, no, Rick is Ardeth's Half Brohter, thats from the cartoon, Evie killed him and took Alex and left. She hoped Ardeth would die so Alex could rule the medjai and she, nefertiri, through him, unfortuantley, he didn't die. She killed her brother, too, and married Tony who hit Alex and caused some brain damage.

When she was found out, Ardeth, as Rick's brother, was called to be his guardian.

Course next I need to work out if he has the bracelet from the cartoon or not or if Ardeth has kept it for him.

This is wonderful and I love the way that you are keeping Xander in character while not making him without a back bone. I am truly enjoying this fic and I look forward to where you go with it next.

So obviously you've brought the timeline of the Mummy up a bit for Xander to be that Alex. What happened to his Dad and why were they talking about being too tired to notice something about his mum?

When Alex brought his mother back it wasn't evi, it was Nefertiri and historically, she was a bitch and she hated men. She wanted the power only a man could have, even n the Medjai. She'd never had the respect her husband would.

She killed Rick adn Jonathan, took Alex to raise hoping Ardeth would get himself killed so she could put ALex in charge of the Medjai only Tony beat him too badly and affected his brain adn memory but she would rule through him.

And I figure most supernatural baddies would not want to cross the man who faced the army of Anubis and won against at least one wave. I mean that's strength and power I figure.

Xander had to make it so they knew he ahd potential, remeber he chose to act like a joke. Now that he has Ardeth back and is remembering things he's starting to be more serious so he's taking things a bit more seriously adn he knwos what Ardeth can do and is. He remembers the lore he learned about the Medjai. He may remember the languages at some point, not sure yet.

I can't do every little detail of every day so I do the things that build to the event. Glad you're liking the flow of the fic. And it's not Evi any more, hasn't been since Am Shere. That's how the mess got started although ehr spirit may be around, her's and RIck's, they amy have beenw atching over Ardeth adn Alex until it was time or they could be reunited.
