This is a fascinating take on a Halloween/Vampire Buffy story. It's been on my recommended list for a few days sorry it's taken until now to review. I had RL issues. I even like the phrasing in the summary: laconic and entertaining is hard to pull off but you seem to manage it effortlessly.

The opening banter between Giles and Buffy is great. I especially liked Buffy's i can't think of something to rhyme with rear line. And at least we know she'll have something to fall back on if she ever quits Slaying: She's singlehandedly invented a new and strange branch of logic.

The Belle possession was completely in character. First comes the extreme narcissism, followed immediately by pouting, foot stamping that everything isn't immediately going her way, the swearing unimaginable tortures on whoever's responsible and finally the hey he's a fine specimen, he'll do.

And then a nice bit of angst to round the story off. I thought revealing Buffy's new vampiric status when she tries to throw up but finds it's physically impossible for her now was an inspired move. Hearkening back to Spike comforting Dru while Buffy cries bloody tears was a great way to elucidate Spike's new relationship with Buffy while making us worry that Buffy might go crazy trying to cope with what she's done. Buffy turning Xander is evil but its the kind of evil writing that demands to be continued. I think a grief crazed, ardeur possessing Buffy has the potential to go to some really interesting places and I'd really love to see this storyline continued. I notice your profile says your on hiatus until June 09 but could you be persuaded to churn out another story of similar length over the Christmas hols?

i love this whole series please add another story cos when reading these i couldn't stop laughing and i haven't been able to find a fic which does that for awhile.

I really loved this twist on the halloween episode; fantibulous crossover use and turn of events-especially the Buffy/Spike hookup 3 seasons early.

Oh yeah...definitely evil! I hadn't seen anybody do this take on the Halloween story. Great job! :)

Yeah she really did tempt fate... so I wonder how she is going to react to the arduer when it hits her later. Also Xander is now of Belle Morte's line... this should be interesting... is there going to be a sequel? I hope so.
