So, was it Spike, or Belle who sired Xander? If it was Belle, will he become an Anitaverse vamp rather than a Buffyverse vamp, and possibly keep his soul? :)
One minor note, you should use a proper M-dash, (—) rather than a single hyphen. A common shortcut is to use a double-hyphen while composing, and a quick search-and-replace right before you publish. If you leave the double-hyphens, that can cause weird word-wrapping artifacts.

Geek question:It's been a while since I read the books, but other than the earthmover, doesn't it take three night to sire a vampie that isn't insane?

Your question depends on which boytoy you meant.
If Xander: then yes, it will take three nights for him to rise.
If Spike: then what she did wasn't really 'siring' per se. It was more the Blake-verse 'fealty' ritual that vamps do when they move into a Master's territory. She took his 'fealty' so he is now hers, this turned him into an Anita-verse type vampire through some weird metaphysical Hellmouthy side-effect that I will leave up to your imagination to explain.

The twisted evilness is in the shortness - not providing Giles' reaction is the worst. A diet rich in bloody goodness would be of the good.
