Once I get to her crossover she'll probably be getting more screen time. I also have plans for a story starring her, but I've got a little too much on my plate right now.

I'm just barely familiar with the cross-over venues, but think you've done a pretty interesting thing here. Evolving Buffy into her final character was a MUCH more fun way to watch it happen than just "poof" she's a dog-demon.

Also like the idea of Giles having been haunted by not just his memories of his "Ripper" days (as per canon and just about every other story involving Giles), but by Ryuk, a 'tangible' aspect of those days. Well done.

Thanks! Buffy's got a long way to go before her journey's complete. I'm glad you liked what I did with Giles, I was trying to come up with a crossover for him and I thought Death Note would be perfect for his wilder years.

I'm probably going to put off the Council finding out about this until about the time Wesley shows up (I feel like Kendra can keep a secret once she and Buffy become friends). As for her mom, that's going to be awkward and probably involve some fainting.

And don't worry, this story will have much more, it will definitely go through season 7, and possibly go longer (I have a few of the Season 8 comics, but my version of events will probably be very different that far into the story). And I agree, there aren't enough Inuyasha crossovers or anime crossovers in general.

Thanks! Like I said, I hadn't wanted this to put too much emphasis on Halloween, but when I start writing, things just kind of happened. As for Xander's beastie, he'll probably show up in the S3 episode "The Zeppo." It shouldn't take too long to get there with me skipping over most of the monster of the week episodes and focus on the ones that form the story arc.

Yeah, I've read quite a few fan fics that would normally be wonderful stories, but I can't stand all the grammar mistakes. On of the biggest offenders are people who use "there" for "their" and "they're".

Anyway, I'm grateful for the review.

Buffy will definitely sense that something is off about the Mayor, but I'm sure if Tenseiga would have much of an effect on him since he's technically not undead.

Yes, there was a Death Note reference, though I'm not sure yet where I'm going with that yet. The only other crossover so far is Inuyasha, but there will be several more later.
