Review of chapter "Chapter Seven—Bachelor Party" from
TheatricalBarristerReview:
This story keeps getting better and better. I really like the way you've given Warren a chance a redemption, and prevented Veruca from making her major mistakes. Adding Doyle to the Scrappy gang, even if he does wander in and out, is nice too. I really liked his character, and never understood why they wrote him out of Angel after only half a season.
Comments from author:
Thanks for the review. I wanted Warren to have a shot at being a better man. You saw rare glimpses of that in the show. But he made terrible mistakes and then kept compounding them. Veruca could have been better, she was just such a wild child. Doyle is a great Scrappy and maybe someday he'll be able to help full-time, assuming he doesn't die... 8)

Excellent story. I really like the twists you are placing on Buffy and Angel episodes. And you've made Warren semi-heroic even while not ignoring the unsavory aspects of his character.
But where's Jonathan?
One problem, both Warren and Andrew knew Buffy attended Sunnydale high school. So it should be an easy matter for Kennedy's watcher to locate Joyce who is still living in Sunnydale (unless there have been other alterations to the Buffyverse) and ask where Buffy is.
Comments from author:
Thanks for the review. I'm glad you like it. Anyone can be semi-heroic, even Warren, if give the right framework to work within. (well except for those handful of truly pathetic human beings.)
Jonathan is... Hmm, that would completely reveal the entire plotline. Can't do that. Let's just say we find out what happens to Jonathan later...
True. There's going to be an investigation by Kennedy in this next chapter between the Iniative, the Hus, and other assorted problem... 8)

aha now I know that this is separate serial from your BTVS/SG1 cross, there are references to Scoobies after graduation yey?
So I wonder who will join Kennedy next...wasn't there a third nerd boy...Jonathan...or are you putting him in Buffy's crew? (could happened).
Or maybe Kennedy is sharing Buffy's class and doesn't know it...its possible.
Comments from author:
Thanks for the review. There are all sorts of references...
There was a third nerd boy. Whatever happened to Jonathan? We'll find out soonish...
Yes, it is possible. They could be sitting right next to each other... 8)

Have never really been a fan of Kennedy but you do a great job portraying her and the people she has gathered together. I like Notty a lot too. Now I could be wrong, but it seems clear to me that this is set in the same universe as your SG-1 cross and that Buffy will make an appearance to help with Adam sometime in the future based on the dreams in the other story. Considering the assumptions Kennedy and co. have made about Buffy I cant wait to see the confrontation.
Comments from author:
Thanks for the review. I'm glad you liked the story, even if you don't like Kennedy. As to what's going on, that is about to become very clear in the next couple of chapters...
And there will be a confrontation. But who it will be between remains to be seen... 8)

MabrReview:
Nice chapter, but don't you think that Kennedy's crew is growing by too much to quickly.
All in all it has been a good story so far and you've succeeded in making Kennedy an interesting and sympathetic character. You probably did not need to add so many character though. In this case an OC as part of Kennedy's gang would have been okay.
I'm looking forward to seeing just what Buffy and Co. are up to.
Comments from author:
Thanks for the review. Actually, her crew has only grown to four, five if you include Notty. Anya definitely has not joined them. She's rather in the position of being there just because Warren wastes his time hanging out with them. (her words)
So we have Warren, Veruca, Andrew, and Notty. Doyle popping in and out. Anya around. Not too terrible, I don't think... 8)
You will find out, just not soon... 8)

*applauds, with the occasional whistle*
Gooooooooooooooood chapter!
And a fitting end for Spike, although (being a guy and all) I did cringe every time Kennedy went for his balls. And laugh, too, I'll admit.
And what did she say after she put the knife in, anyway? I'll bet it involved something about men, didn't it? LOL
Comments from author:
Thanks for the review. I'm glad you liked the chapter. Too bad about Spike, but I know he'd have preferred to go this way rather than be kept around as a ball-less vamp wannabe.
Kennedy? Saying something negative while stabbing an oversexed vamp in the balls? No way!

I'm thinking you're plotting to make every secondary character and villain one of Kennedy's *Nerdies*, right? ;)
Good chapter - my reservations are disappearing at an increasingly faster rate.
Comments from author:
Thanks for the review. I am trying to see who all I can... redeem is the appropriate word, I think.
I hope those reservations disappear completely. 8)

Well, I'm finally in a good enough mood to start reading this story.
I don't like Kennedy, never have, but you're such a great story teller that I'll give it a chance. LOL
Oh, and my dislike of Kennedy is not because she's a lesbian, but because she's an egotistic bitca. I'm hoping you'll make her less so.
And I'm guessing her Watcher's name is Nottingham, for the record.
Comments from author:
Thanks for the review. LOL, well I hope you actually like it.
And Kennedy's Watcher's name is Reginald Nottingham.

Next up: have Notty research Buffy Summers, find out she was once wanted for questioning in the death of someone named "Kendra".... and he'll conclude that Buffy has murdered TWO slayers! heh heh. And was then absent for months from Sunnydale, no doubt going around the world doing who knows what.
But I'm sure the little misunderstanding will be cleared up Real Soon Now.
Hey--where the hell is Angel? Doing the Batman thing on his own in LA without Doyle? Or dusted?
Comments from author:
Thanks for the review. Exactly. Warren might be able to find out some stuff, assuming it was available on-line in 2000 and not sealed because Buffy was a juvenile at the time (17). But if he found it, I'm sure that he would be able to find out that Giles frequently contacted the police looking for clues of her whereabouts.
As far as Angel is concerned, you'll have to wait to find out... 8)

This is really quite addictive! I'm sorry to think of Tara and Willow never getting together, but perhaps in your version of things (without out-of-control Veruca to mess things up with Oz and Willow) Willow will continue to enjoy a solid relationship with Oz?
Notty's a great character, also. I hate to think of Buffy having her reputation trashed by being thought of as a Watchers' Council assassin, but I'm sure you'll work things out in your own good time.
Comments from author:
Thanks for the review. I'm glad I'm turning you into a Kennedy-junkie. Veruca was definitely unable to mess up Willow and Oz.
I'm glad you like Notty. I really like writing him. He's just so damn angry.
As far as Buffy having her rep trashed, who know? Maybe she really did become a Council Assassin... 8)

Review of chapter "Chapter Two—Living Conditions" from
RevDorothyLReview:
I'm fascinated by this story! You're taking some of the most annoying (to me, personally) characters from the last three seasons of BtVS and actually redeeming them, by having them band together as their own sort of anti-Scoobies! (Like matter and anti-matter, as long as they don't come into direct contact/conflict with the original Slayer and friends, all should be well!)
Plus, Kennedy being completely unaware (apparently) that there's already a Slayer in town, while she unknowingly handles some of the situations that bedeviled Buffy's early college days . . . that really works, I have to say.
Comments from author:
Thanks for the review. They are annoying. But that's just because the writers wrote them that way. I seek redemption for all the minor villains who weren't.
Yep, the anti-Scoobies or Scrappies. 8)
Kennedy is continuing to find out more and more, bringing a potential conflict to a head... 8)

I really liked this one. Thanks a lot for updating so quick. I really got a good laugh out of this - Andrew and Anya both are very funny, you really do a great job of characterization. Boy, have the guys ever got the wrong idea about Buffy! I would be interested to know more about what's really going on with the Council, though. By the way, 'Gerbil up Richard Gere's ass?!' Where the heck did THAT come from? Too funny for words, but it does make for a disturbing visual, that's for sure. Anyway, great update as always but more soon please. Thanks.
Comments from author:
Thanks for the review. I'm glad you liked it. There were a few funny moments, that's for sure. I know what you mean about having the wrong idea about Buffy. But that's what fits the facts so far.
The Council has certain issues that will become more and more plain as time goes by.
The Gerbil? An old rumor that Gere had to go to the hospital back in the early 70's to have a gerbil removed. Not even sure if there's any truth to it.

very intense chapter. Notty and Ken make a good team the others are somewhat questionable,if they learn from their mistakes they might make a good team.the problem with making mistakes in their situation is that usually someone else gets hurt or dies.
good story looking forward to your next chapter.
Comments from author:
Thanks for the review. I agree with you regarding the others. I patterned them on the Scoobies. Remember how many times either Willow or Xander almost got Buffy killed? Pretty much every other episode. So the mistakes that Warren & Co are making aren't too terrible, but they need to be reduced, or they could get Kennedy killed. And that wouldn't make Notty too happy, as Warren is currently finding out... 8)
