I really like this so far. Though, I'm not sure if I understand why they're all lying to her. I mean, I know they want her to be able to take a vacation, but it seems really disloyal for all of them to lie to her. Oh well, Buffy's POV is really well written, you can really hear a lot of her confusion. Write more in longer segments soon!

I'll admit, they were thinking of not telling her because of my selfishness. I wanted to be all about the laughs at Buffy's expense and lots of scenes with her almost catching them doing something all supernatural, but I'm heading in another direction now.

Very interesting idea for a story. I don't think I've ever seen this before, but I definitely like it.

I don't have any strong opinion on how Buffy's amnesia should be handled, both ways have merits and plenty of opportunities for angsty and comedic scenes.

Interesting premise. It's not one that I've encountered before. And I'm sure they'll have to find some way to keep this secret from the vampires/monsters etc. (which is a possible reason for not damping her abilities, not to mention it will be funnier that way)

They need to tell her the truth, else it will come back and bite them in the tush, HARD! She may think them all insane, and that could be fun to explore. I guess I can understand not letting Buffy in on the whole magic and Willow levitating while still in hospital (she may say something to a doctor and get sent to the psych ward) but she needs to know the true story soon.

Tell her she's a Hok'tar and get her a job at the SGC :)

Tell her that her mom died and that Giles is the executor of Joyce's trust, leaving Buffy tons of stock investments which recently peaked so she can shop freely and never worry about money or rent for the rest of her life, as long as she doesn't go overboard and always gets his permission on major transactions.

In the Season 8 comic 'The Chain' they have Andrew and Willow doing a commercial on the fun and mystifying syndrome affecting girls and women across the nation, involving weird strength and odd dreams. Tell her she's affected by the syndrome and that they know/ are part of the people researching it, but nobody knows the cause yet.

Tell her that Marvels X-Men and TV's Heroes are very loosely based on real life events and that she's part of a secret mutant race with a purely scientific backing and that there's no overaching conspiracy involved.

Seriously, get her a job at the SGC. She won't be a security risk to the Council (maybe) and she'll be doing something useful :D

So, I'm finally updating. Chapter two is almost finished and I like your idea about the commercial from the comic, so I'll probably be using that one in some way.

Interesting premise, but one question: Why aren't they telling Buffy the truth?

Some will be explained in chapter two, which was just updated. But, more than likely, you'll just have more questions... So, I'll just be quiet now.. ;)
