Oooh! I kinda saw where you were building up to it but I'm still so excited that your making it Willow/Jessie. Jessie doesn't get enough love, dying early and all. :)

i know, i was hoping before the buffy seasons ended that the writers would bring Jesse back, but nope- it would have been cool if they'd brought Jesse back briefly like the Stargate writers did with Kawalsky- he got about 2 or 3 episode appearances in after her died.

yep, but at the moment it's the holidays so she hasn't moved yet; i'm putting buffy at the first day of the new year but i got the feeling that, in canon, she came in the middle of sophomore year.
so she's going to appear in the story but not for a while

Back from vacation to find this ---thanks! It's weird to see a willow & Xander who haven't known each other since age 5.... hopefully Jesse will pull through. I imagine Willow & Xander will be angry with Buffy initially on finding she doesn't want to slay. (though at the power level she's showing, why would anyone need a slayer? That's a potential plot problem, maybe it takes time to do big spells like that, no good in a fight?

Slaying's Buffy's job; it would catch up to her later even if she did run off; besides the council wouldn't let her get away from it that easily.

yep, now i have Xander away from his awful parents and Willow away from her's (well, the ones in canon anyway) i hate bad parents, both of them deserved better and they got better X)

You did a wonderful job in capturing the emotions Willow was feeling. Good visuals to, like how she half sob/snorted. Only thing that kind of stands out is flying car. It just seems a bit over the top. Other then that great chapter and can't wait for more!

yeah i know, but ever since i saw 'Harry Potter 2' i've always wanted to do a flying-car scene; besides there was a load of traffic which i hate, so it was mostly a statement to the stupidities of traffic-jams. :)

Very nice fight scene, have to wonder how Cordelia is going to react to what happen. You did a great job with the visual of Willow walking on the wall.

Cordelia will probably chalk it up to a trick of the light- she did when she was almost bitten by Luke in 'Welcome to the Hellmouth' and 'The Harvest'- it was one of those episodes, anyway.

And now Cordelia will think Willow is in a gang and gets into gang fights all the time....but might be grateful for the rescue. Not grateful enough to socialize of course.... in this AU Willow doesn't hate Cordelia the way she did in the show, which could make things interesting--
Willow was getting a bit overconfident; plus once Luke & some of the other older/tougher vampires like Darla show up, W. will realize she's only been fighting newbies, which are a lot easier to stake... This chapter was good --otherwise by the time B. arrives, there'd be nothing to do (ie indicates why they need a slayer )---. Hm, once convinced, B. would likely be very happy that she'd have some backup, that wasn't useless....

Cordy didn't hang out with them even after buffy saved her from marcie; though she obviously was very grateful; i only starting liking her during 'Out of mind, out of sight'

nope, over a decade of bullying and degradation would make Willow hate Cordelia; if i were in her shoes i would too.
