As for the whole Jack flirting thing? I'd be more disappointed if you didn't at least *try* to include it, given the essential nature of his character that it is. Personal biggest peeve: people who rewrite any character's canon sexual orientation/preference for no reason than "it would be so hawt!" Jack flirts like the fixed fact that he is.

Depending on your point of view, Jack either has no sexual orientation/preference, or all sexual orientations/preferences.
Having seen John Barrowman on TV a lot over the years (from back in the day when he hosted The Movie Game on CBBC), I can tell you that he's very much a flirt in real life, so I guess he can use that part of his character when playing Jack Harkness.

A good chapter, though I noticed there were still a lot of words out of place (you kept saying "shape" when the context seemed to call for "sharp", and that sort of thing).
I think you're doing a good job with Captain Jack's characterization and dialogue, meanwhile, and his interest in Simon didn't seem too forced to me.

It's not that I have a problem with having to write it, it's just that it's not something I've ever written before, so I'm not really sure how to do it.
Now if it had been FF slash, that'd be another kettle of fish altogether...
