Some of the description of the environnment was a little too terse - in character, rather than showing the reader more of the world, but I liked this a lot overall. And loved this line: "For cryin out loud." the man, Jack exclaimed "Get off my archaeologist."

I'm hoping for a continuation but this was great to read, I like how you had oz's senses and thoughts written. The only problem i saw was in this sentence (Jim looked down at the boy pressed against him. "Oz, look at me" his voice was gentle but firm "You hurt (Jim), threaten him in any way, or the Tribe here, and I will take you out, understand?") (Blair)
It should be Blair, but otherwise this is lovely.
