The ending was a little abrubt, I think you could have made it longer.

This is a wonderful story and I'm enjoying every bit of it, but can I safely presume (as this is AU), that you're ignoring the part of the 1969 episode where Daniel says, "Jack, in 1969, I was four years old" in the part where they talked about what they'd been doing and where they were that year? It was before they met the young Hammond, when they were thinking of the possibility of getting help from one of their younger selves.

I know what you are talking about and yes, I'm ignoring that.

(Daniel rolls his eyes. "Jack, in 1969, I wasn't even born yet.")

Whoa! What the frak! You have got to add more to this story. This has to be one of the more butt-kicking cliffhangers of all time.

I have one more chapter to add and it will fix one of the cliffhangers.

I love the first chapter, but I like what it looks like you are planning to do with it to, back story, right? Totally improbable, but those are always the best, I'm looking forward to more of this. also, with the first chapter, what was Daniel on about? did he mean that they had eliminated the Jackson's or something else that I didn't get?

I'm going to be jumping around in the timeline. Inspiration doesn't always follow a straight line. And the Jackson's were noticed and eliminated. "Oh hey. Look at that. Daniel was born at the same hospital. Okay, next!" They thought it was impossible, instead of just improbable.

That was short and sweet. I like it! :D I hope you consider adding onto this.

Wait, if they were together... They joked that Jack was Cameron's father, feel that's true here? If it is then that means that here Mitchell either A) is Daniel's half-brother or B) Because Jack and Carter were in a relationship, Jack never slept with Mitchell's mom, so Mitchell was never born 8) ;)

Well, seems like Daniel had a loving adoptive family (albeit short-lived). Ouch. I could see Jack getting worked up about how one of his sons died and stayed dead, while his other one keeps coming back...

Jack and Sam are Daniel's family already and those feelings run pretty deep. This shouldn't change them noticeably, other than making it all more surreal :)

If you don't want them to tell Hammond directly, you could have them go on a mission, come back, have Janet scan them for fresh genetic anomalies, find some, do a DNA comparison to find if whatever tweaked their DNA on this specific mission has tweaked all their DNA in the same way... And come back with a revelation she wasn't looking for :)

You are right about the already family thing, that was my thought too. Telling Hammond though, I hadn't thought about doing that. I'm not sure where I would begin (you had a good idea though.)
