Harry as Aphrodite's priest? *giggles* He's going to get in trouble at Hogwarts, isn't he? Too much snogging and, ahem, other things in broom cupboards... Lily and Sirius? Well, bonding over grief for the loss of James... Looking after Harry and her new kids... Way I figure it, James wouldn't mind too much in the 'well at least they're looking after each other' way, especially if it takes a few years... Nice explanation of what happened though. Love the idea that they were shagging, sorry, ahem, love-making before Voldy turned up!

Faith as Cardea's protector of children? Cool. Liked how you made the distinction that Buffy's technically removed from the Slayer line. I mean, it's not her fault she died (well, not the first time, really), but the power passed on. Still, it would be interesting to see if she ends up as a Champion too. Maybe something to do with Hades, given the whole death thing? Is she a real goddess, one of those almost unknown ones? Because she sounds interesting. There were loads of superstitions about thresholds and stuff...

Now how in the world do you think that Harry would get into anymore trouble at Hogwarts because he's Aphrodite's priest? It's not like he's gonna have an invisibility cloak or anything...Oh wait...you may have a point there.

Cardea is one I kinda fudged on. She's actually a fairly minor Roman goddess. She started out as a nymph, but Janus left a rather large tip on her dresser. As far as I can tell, she doesn't have a Greek counterpart, but I figure that if they can screw around with the myths as much as they did on Hercules and Xena, then I can get away with it too.

As for Buffy...nope. She won't be a Champion here. She's got her own gig. And I've already got two, and possibly three characters from that universe to deal with.

This is a very intriguing tale. And I have to say I indeed look forward to more. My suggestion though were you to include Xander would be to go with a God or Goddess not already associated with him. Suggestions would include Hepheastus, Fortuna the Goddess of Luck or possibly Artemis. My reasonings for this is because the rest of the Gods already associated with him would probably have one hell of a time trying to decide who should take him and also it would make sense from the standpoint that Xander has terrible luck, not just with women. He's a carpenter so he already has the building things down pat and he's accustomed to hunting the night life thus making him ideal to be a Priest for the Goddess of the Hunt.

Of course that's only one man's opinion. As far as any other suggestions I can't think of a one to be honest, maybe 'cause it's your story and what you've got going now needs no further meddling if you were to ask me. I eagerly anticipate the future of this tale and now, breakfast is a'calling. Good luck.

I have to say, this probably one of the most original plot lines I've ever read. I'm really excited to see where you take this whole thing, I love it! If you're taking suggestions, how about throwing a little anime into the mix? Some examples: just about any protagonist of an action-oriented anime would probably fall under the jurisdiction of Ares, Bleach characters could fall under Hades, L or Light from Death Note could go to Astraea, etc. Unless you're not an anime fan, then just go on as you were were ^_^

Ya know, aside from like 3 episodes of Full Metal Alchemist, the closest thing to an anime I've ever watched is Pokemon. Oh, and I saw Akira in high school. I've also watched a couple of La Blue Girl tapes, but hentai really isn't the direction I want to go with this story.

That's one of the reason's I haven't gone straight for Xander in this story. I don't know if I wanna deal with that many deities fighting over the same Champion. I'm still considering him.

I'm liking it a lot. Could you grab Xander too? He's always been underappreciated. Can't wait to see who else you pull in.

I thought about Xander, and I'm still considering him. But I don't know if I can write a Xander that's separate enough from Harry to make them both work in a story together.

I am totally impressed with your story's beginning. This is one of the most original, not to mention a bit odd, setups I've ever read. I hope you keep writing as I really like what you've done so far and can't wait to see where you take Our Heroes.

Hyde just struck me out of the blue while I was cleaning my toilet this morning. And Dionysus just seemed like the right god to choose him.

And yeah, Cardea could have told Faith that Kennedy was not worth the time, but romantic problems don't come under her purvue. Besides, do you really think that Willow would take relationship advice from Faith of all people, regardless of the source?

BtVS for sure, and I'm considering BSG, WOW, WOD, D&D, Star Wars, Star Trek, Star Gate, and Dark Angel. But not all of them. That would just get too weird. The tricky part is trying to get the right deity for the right character.
