This is a great fanfic... But if she sold her spellbook, isn't Bella unable to cast Fireball anymore? Unless she has a few castings already memorized... in which case she really should be conserving them, since they're all she has.

Yes she has a quite wide range of spells still memorized and even contingency spell cast upon her. And she cast fireball in order to get a little practice of casting spells "blind". Here is some D&D trivia: She is a level 15 - 17 Diviner Wizard (like Gromph :) who influenced her choice of school) I don't want to give her access to lvl 9 spells and make her overpowered, except from maybe one or two so even if she will be able to cast them it will be from a very limited repertoire and only if the plot could really benefit from it

One of the best, and certainly most exciting way of 'humanizing' one of the Top 5 Loopiest, Evilest characters in Ficdom; banishing her to a society beyond Humanity's cruelty, causing her to obsess on "just getting the Heck away/back home', instead of 'OOh, Voldy, I love your evil aura!' is laudable.

And Forgotten Realms is always been a great place, always have loved it. It can be quite gritty fantasy, and even with the intense power level, it still limits itself quite well.

That's exactly what I am trying to do. I tried to write another crossover involving Bellatrix, but her character is just too forgone and unredeemable for a change to take place in a short period of time whatever the reason and otherwise it is just unrealistic. 12 year long vacation in Holy City of Lloth gives me something to work with and a believable cause for her mindset to change.

I will not be updating for a while though probably not until September.
