I just finished reading and reviewing "What Have We Gotten Ourselves Into?", and found this story listed as the sequel. I enjoyed it. It was fun. I had to laugh when I read the 'Buffy had to pull her eyes from the shiny shiny weapons" line. I liked that everybody, after being dumped on for years, got a chance to make a wish. And, I like that everyone got just what they wanted, even if it wasn't exactly the way they wanted. Ron and Ginny got Fred and Geordge back. Harry got Sirius and Remus back. That was great that they got what they wanted most even though their wishes were for things that would help them end the wizarding war. It's good that Angel will get a chance to be a dad again. He deserves it. And I am really surprised that Spike wanted kids. Although he always did care for Dawn. Good story. I'm glad it's being continued as part of a series.

I still haven't decided what they did to earn wishes. I mean, it'd have to be something extraordinary because you're right, they get dumped on and are never rewarded. At first, this was just going to be about the Slytherin five and their wish and when I got into writing it, I decided I couldn't just stop there so I finished out everybody's wishes. Slayers like weapons, the deadlier the better. I wanted to bring some people back for the Wizarding kids because, well, you've read "What Have We Gotten Ourselves Into?" Their folks aren't getting to be brought back and that just didn't seem fair. Connor's storyline has always been sort of Wha-Huh? for me. I mean, he was supposed to be a gift, right? Seriously, he was the gift from hell. I like Connor but they went through a lot for him, as an infant and as a teen. And Spike doesn't really like Angel to have anything he doesn't have. So kids it is.

I loved it! It was very well done and I loved the fact that Xander ended up being a father while the others ended up with little brothers and sisters and new children were added to the family.
