I love the symmetry, especially with Buffy getting the last word this time!
Comments from author:
Darn skippy! Those two seem to balance one another nicely, don't you think?

I liked it very much. Though, I still have seriously mixed feelings about how season four of Doctor Who ended... Don't you?

Props to ya however!
Comments from author:
I do. While I'm all for the Doctor going it alone I thought it awful how they set it up for him to have to watch as every one of the people in his life that he cares for walked away from him or had to leave him or they'd die. It was a bit over the top and I was a bit sick by the fact that Rose got very close to what she'd always wanted from the Doctor while he lost one of his best companions. *sigh*

Which is exactly why I wrote this. He's not alone and Buffy's not going to pull a 'Martha' and fall all over him so it'll be a nice reprieve. Thank you for taking the time to review!

*tackles and smooches* Beautiful! Love this series and this part was especially touching, watching the season finale had me in tears. Poor Doctor, poor DoctorDonna...gah!

Really love the way you opened this part. I loved Buffy's reaction to the Daleks invasion, trying to get hold of the Doctor on the cell and having Giles order all the Slayers to go to ground. Nicely done and a good indication she had either run into them or heard about them in her time with the Doctor.

Love that the Doctor came to Buffy after everything. Part checking up on her and part unvoiced hope that she'd come with him perhaps? Whether or not he hoped Buffy would come along, I love her asking about packing a bag and his response was perfect! Beautifully done, as always, and love the fact that neither Buffy or the Doctor are alone now.

*beams* Thank you and I know! I felt simply awful for Donna. She was magnificent and brilliant and so very nearly perfect and then it all fell apart and she can never remember how damn special she was/is.

I actually wrote the second scene first and thought it needed a good introduction to set up that moment between them and then I realized that Buffy would be afraid of the Daleks. They aren't something a Slayer can stand against and live, which she more than likely learned on her own. I'm think of doing a story between these two that would be several chapters and focus around Buffy's first introduction to the Daleks and then Donna. I'm not sure though, I have to think on it, but for now I need to work on that Jenny/Doctor/Buffy angle we brainstormed on awhile back.

In this 'verse I think Buffy will be the Doctors touchstone. The one constant in his life and he's hers. While I adore Jack and want those two together eventually I'm finding I'm partial to the Buffy/Doctor moments and friendship. His response to her packing a bag was all Pol. She helped me iron out that moment so that it flowed better and sound more Doctor-like. She's the best!

Good follow up. I wonder how the Slayers managed to fed off the Daleks as they were rounding up people. Must be some major mojo.

I do enjoy the Doctor and Buffy. I hope you have more chapters up your sleeve.
Comments from author:
The Slayers didn't fend off the Daleks or round up anyone. They went to ground, basically they hid. Enhanced strength and a bit of speed wouldn't help against a Dalek and Buffy knew that.

There's more, lots more.

I don't follow Dr. Who quite enough to know which doctor she's talking to, so I can't tell you whether or not I agree with her, but I did have to snicker at her telling him he was prettier with his mouth closed.

The Slayer's aren't capable of fighting this threat? Yikes.
Comments from author:
It's the Tenth Doctor(David Tennant) and while both of the latest Doctors tend to put their foots in their mouths at any given time the Tenth has the worse habit of it.

Daleks are ridiculous looking, but nearly indestructible. A Dalek would win against a Slayer hands down every time.
