A error that seemed to repeat is the word "seance" in the place of "sense". Seance being a ritual to contact the dead.

That was a fascinating little one shot. I normally prefer reading the longer stories, but I *like* the Honor-verse so much I dropped in to check this out. It was very well written. It even managed to actually feel like a tree-cat was actually doing the talking, which means you handled the pacing and the wording very well.

The only thing that really kept throwing me off was the use of the word "seance" when you really meant "sense". A seance is where a group of people sit together in a circle and try to talk to dead people. I managed to convince my brain to skip over that word and read it as it was supposed to be, so I could fall back into the story, but it was very jarring when otherwise the story gave an excellent sense of otherness.

Would love to see this story reproduced from Faith's point of view. If you can write her mind-set as well as you wrote the tree-cat's, it should be both fabulous and hilarious! :)

And yeah, having read those books - I read too many people on the assorted fanfic forums praising them - the treecats wouldn't refer to themselves as pets. Though I do admit to wondering at times if my 'ordinary' cats consider us to be their pets, and it has occurred to me that such an attitude would probably translate to fictional cats and cat-like entities as well...

Cool! The thought of Faith partnered with a Treecat is just mind boggling. I would love to see this story from Faith's point of view. I'll bet she thinks Treecats are benevolent demons or something like that. Lol!
