This is fun, just to see if I understand correctly, are the Borg nanites what is left over of Doctor Weir and the Pegasus replicators who were trying to ascend from the most recent SGA episode or something else?

Oh. Hmm. Actually... I'm not that good. I was going for this being a remnant of RepliCarter's replicators that were wiped out by the Dakara weapon right after gaining massive knowledge of the Ascendants from Daniel's brain. It's not inconceivable that in the last moments they were able to protect a few blocks or cells with Ancient knowledge. It's part of this series of StarTrek/Stargate pieces, linking a backstory together.

But I really like your interpretation of it. That is... way cooler than my idea, actually. Much sadder and deeper. Hey, this whole series is like a really long challenge I'm putting out there, so if you would like to write something along the Repli-Elizabeth turning into Borg lines, I would really love to read it.
