Can't help you with Dawson's creek. What I know about the show would rattle around in a thimble. I'm beginning to think that your plot bunnies are actually tribbles. They sure seem to multiply fast enough. Good work on this one. There are a couple of errors. At one place, you wrote 'hushed whispered' when it should be 'hushed whispers'. Also, you made reference to Xander not liking Abby very much from the night before, but I couldn't find where he met her the night before in the text. The only girl he met when he came into town was Joey. I know I seem to pick on you, but, honestly, I only do this to authors a like. I figure that they are like me and don't mind having flaws pointed out as long as it's done nicely. Later.

You used the word Picosecond to describe time. That is so awsome.
And I think you are going to be the first to put anything about the speed force in a cross over. Not sure, but I think you are the first....
I may have to check that.

Interesting story. To be honest, I only read it because you wrote it. Normally I would run away screaming at the top of my lungs from ANYTHING with Dawson's Creek attached to it (those kids on the show made me want to hit them with a baseball bat).
So far, very good. I do have a few nit-picks.
In general, US high schools run all day (seven hours of classes or 4 block classes per day). It isn't treated like a college schedule where they might only have one class in the afternoon while their morning schedule is packed. Xander would be in school from 0730-1430 roughly.
Also, schools don't tend to let students officially drift in and out. You have to register for classes and have your files transfered (fax machines are wonderful inventions) as if you were staying for the entire year. Yes you can move around and go to different schools; as part of your basic entitlement to a free and appropriate education (FAPE), you are allowed to enroll in a school, barring any sort of history/police record that violates the safe schools act. I've known kids that we all knew were only going to be at the school where I teach for a few weeks, but they were treated as if they were going to be there indefinately by the administration, records, and whatnot.
Finally, if Xander is burning through that many calories in a day (wouldn't someone at least suspect that he was a closeted pot head), how can he afford it. Food is expensive no matter where you are. Also, bacon sandwiches are not a common fare here in the US. We will eat bacon, lettuce, and tomato sandwiches, but not a bacon sandwich (hello, can we all say heart disease?). Why would you eat bacon and bread as a sandwich? Gross
Anyway, now that I've gotten that off my chest, life can go on. Take care and I hope we will see another chapter sooner rather than later.
Cheers!

TheatricalBarristerReview:
Okay, first I wanna say that I liked this chapter, and it looks like a fun crossover. I have some critiques, though.
* First, a couple of possible editing errors:
+ "friends of Joey and Jack’s" -- when Xander saw Jack, he was never told his name. Joey introduced herself as Xander was leaving, but Jack's name was never mentioned.
+ "Even after last night Xander had left with an intense dislike for the girl, now after hearing a good part of what she was saying about Andi and Joey he found he really didn’t like her."
The only thing the story text says Xander did the night before was to meet Joey and Jack, get denied food, and go to bed hungry. Abby is never mentioned for that evening.
* Second, a minor nit -- doesn't really detract from my enjoyment of the story, but to my nit-picking mind, it does stand out a little -- there is no way a school would let a student transfer in for a few weeks. First, schools in the US are paid for by local property taxes. If you don't officially live in the school district, you can't go there unless you pay to do so. Second, the amount of paperwork to transfer transcripts, etc., would just not make it worth it. The student (especially if going back to their former school after only a few weeks) would be better off just making up the missed work once they returned.
* Finally, not really a criticism, but just something I got to wondering about with regards to the Flash. I've never really followed the Flash, so I don't know how much he has to eat (and can't find anything searching the 'net), but I did wonder about Xander running 1000 miles in an hour, and how much he'd have to eat to do so under normal circumstances. In general, the amount of energy burned to go a given distance is based on the distance traveled, not the speed. So, if I walked 10 miles as slow as I possibly could without toppling over, or if I ran the same 10 miles at a 6 mile a minute pace, I'd burn the same amount of calories. According to one chart I found on the 'net, a 155-lb person burns 1126 calories to go 10 miles. So, I'm assuming Xander would burn 112,600 calories to go 1000 miles. This is about 66 times the number of calories that a normal 155-lb man has to eat a day to maintain his weight (1705 = 11 x 155), given a normal amount of physical activity.
I hope this makes sense. I guess I'm just stymied by the idea that Xander would essentially have to stop and eat the equivalent of three normal-person meals 66 times during his one hour run. Unless there's something about the powers of the Flash that makes him much, *much* more energy-efficient.
