Wow! I mean... WOW!
You've done a stellar job with this fic. It's absolutely wonderful. You've made the characters seem so real, without the godmodding or insane whineyness that I find comes with a lot of the Buffy/HP xovers I've read.
I find a lot of time people take the most obvious character traits for each character and blow them out of proportion, because it's a recognizable trait for that character, but as a whole the character isn't very true to it's original form. But you have managed to avoid this with a your well balanced writing in regards to the personalities and powers depicted here. Good on ya!
Great Fic!

DRACO MALFOY IS HOT AND HE IS NOT A NASTY GIT YOU BITCH!!!!!!!!
Comments from author:
Draco Malfoy was a spoiled rotten racist, who was guilty of multiple counts of assault and attempted murder. It was largely a matter of luck, and quick thinking on Harry's part that kept Draco from being a multiple murderer.

Not especially a Harry Potter fan, but I took a chance with this and totally enjoyed it !!
Guess, no matter what, it's the story telling that matters.
Well done.

Amazing! Marcus Rowland recommended your stories and so I thought I would give it a go. My only exposure to HP and Buffy has been through FanFic and I must admit that your story was, by far, better than most anything I have read.
If I didn't know that the two worlds were different, I would have thought one was a spinoff of the other!

Okay, I know I haven't even actually started the story, but just reading those three little 'notices'.... I think I love it already. :)
1) The long-lost-relative stuff is pretty overdone. I've only found a few stories where I really like the touches they've given it.
2) Yeah, like Giles could really last that long without succumbing to the knowledge that goes with the wand. Besides, the whole point of his Eyghon days was that it was this secret, underground creepy thing. Not a major sect of wizarding society.
3) I do like Draco/Dawn as a pairing, but only when portrayed realistically... i.e. completely dysfunctional. Draco's not a nice guy, whether he's a killer or not. ...'sides, it's fun writing for a$$hole characters. :)
Okay. Now I shall actually READ the story.
Ta!

Hey there, long-time reader, first-time review (okay, actually I've only been reading stories on TtH for about a week, but I've read more than a few--many of them yours)
I signed up so that I could start giving feedback on these excellent stories, and this one is beyond excellent.
I'm not a Harry Potter fan. I've seen the movies, reluctantly, but that's it.
I AM a huge Buffy fan, but I've never cared for Dawn.
I only started this story after reading some of your shorter pieces, and deciding that it was worth taking a chance, since you'd impressed me more than a little.
And that was the right call to make, because this story was outstanding. The set-up, getting Dawn and company involved in the world of Hogwarts--flawless. I've never read any Potterfic before, and very much doubted that you could integrate it with the Buffyverse, but you managed it (and without making anyone, from either mythos, seem lame in comparison to the others).
Characterization seemed bang-on all the way through, especially Dawn--I absolutely bought into everything she said and did.
There WERE a couple or three instances of Buffy sounding not quite Buffylike, mainly just word-choices that felt a little off, but that's completely subjective, and it was never enough to pull me out of the story (well, not much, anyway).
One word--Decompression. You are very much unafraid, when it comes to taking your time with exploring the world and the interactions of characters. This is not a bad thing, if it stays interesting, and this did. I write fic myself, and I do the same kind of thing, and usually beat myself up over it, wondering if anyone really wants to follow along through the endless detail and minor scenes. Reading this story, I got to see that from the other side, as the reader, and found that it wasn't so bad as I'd feared it would be, so... Thanks!
^_^
In parting, I have to say that between this story, and a couple of others I've read in the last couple of days, I'm finally convinced to give the HP novels a read. If Miss JKR's material is on a par with what I've seen here, it ought to be a good time.
I'm going to have to get a new ink cartridge for my printer, so that I can run off a copy of this novel and put it in my library next to my other favorite books.
Thank you, for an outstanding piece of work, and a very enjoyable reading experience.
Comments from author:
Thanks for the comments. I think you'll enjoy the HP books, especially if you like exploring the details of her world. The movies skip, or gloss over, an awful lot of stuff. (For example, in the Prisoner of Azkaban movie, how did Lupin and Sirius know about the map, and how it worked?)

ObsidianBlackReview:
I've read this story before, and liked it. However...
In chapter 40 Buffy says to Willow: "Even during your darkest mojo period you weren't up to teleportation."
I didn't notice until I recently rewatched season 6, but this is incorrect.
While Anya claims in "Two to Go" that Willow is not up to teleportation, later in the same episode, after she drains Rack, Willow effortlessly teleports not just herself, but Buffy and Dawn with her. It wasn't as flashy as Anya's teleportation. The background begins slowly spinning around Willow and Buffy as they are talking in Rack's lair, the room changing to that of the Magic Box before stopping.
I dunno if you could change that part after all this time. However, I felt this compulsive need to correct that part.
Comments from author:
I always figured that Willow could do that because they were in Rack's place, which already had the ability to move about. She moved Rack's to the Magic Box, and then transitioned herself, Buffy and Dawn from Rack's to the Magic Box

I've just finished reading this story through for the second time, and it's lost none of its appeal. Possibly even better the second time around because I think I picked up on some things I didn't the first time. Excellent story, I love it.

I just spent all evening reading this story and now it's time for bed. Where did my day go? It was very engrossing. I'm not usually a fan of having the Scooby Gang teach at Hogwarts, since Buffyverse magic is so different than Rowlingverse. But I like how you managed to keep the two separate and explain the differences. It works because you clearly know a lot about both universes and put a lot of thought into how to put them together. Even managed to make it the power that Voldie knows not! *Very clever!* I loved some of the references you slipped in. (Safe the mind control for the tourists made me smile! Old school!) Anyway, I just wanted to thank you for all the hard work you put into this. It was very enjoyable!

Incredible story... even more so considering that I don't like Harry Potter. (I don't dislike it either, I just never read the books, and only saw one or two of the movies.) I loved your starting points, too - I saw enough to dislike Draco. As usual with great books / stories, I'm sad it's over.
