I LIKEit! I really dig the idea.
It's a novel way to get Xander to interact with the wizarding world. It's definitely a step up from the "I-just-got-an-owl-asking-me-to-at-Hogwarts" vein of plot devices.
I know you said that this is a one shot, but I would really enjoy it if you decided to expand on this fic.

I love it! What more can I say...I didn't see any problems with the POV, and Xander's inner monologue was quirky just like him.
Great ficlet, It almost seems a shame that this is all...I could just see further developments - the drink turns into dinner, turns into dancing...
Ah, well, it made me smile, and today, that alone is worth a million galleons!

KAWAI! It's kinda cute that Xander is finally connecting with a girl, on that level, that isn't prone to blowing up the world, skinning him alive, telling him how she wrought vengence on men for centuries, trying to kill him and any others I have missed. He and Hermione do make a cute couple, age difference aside, and it's kind of refreshing that he's almost famous.
