OK, you did give us a "happy ending". I thought you did a really good job of pulling this story off. I had a hard time with the original premise, but you sold me. Nicely done. I look forward to reading more of your stories.

Interesting. Seeing as I have never ever seen a single ep of West Wing I'm hopelessly lost but I still found this interesting. Funny as all get out too. I love the way most of this is from other people's points of view, it gives me clues at the West Wing folk. Though I had to laugh at Dawn's comments about not being sure if it was the Slayer or the pack of bodyguards that made her keep her mouth shut. Will there be more?

One more. I think I said that a couple of chapters ago as well, but this time I mean it... *grins*

I am enjoying your story tremendously. So far, I think you have caught all the characters' mental voices nearly perfectly.

From personal experience, I know how hard it is to "disappoint" your parents and how you can do the "right thing" for the wrong reasons. But I wonder if there is any possibility for a "happy ending" to your story. I am afraid that someday soon Josh will be cheating on Willow with Donna and Willow will be out cruising gay bars. Not that I dislike your story, it is just I'm not sure how happy a person can be when they try to live their lives as someone else dictates.

Enough doom and gloom! You write an excellent story and I look forward to more of it.

Maybe there's a happy end... maybe not... *grins* Of course there are consequences to everything. And since Josh isn't the most thoughtful guy on the block most of the time I think we can be sure there will be some trouble. If the trouble will come in this story... that's another discussion alltogether.

I can't say why I like Josh/Willow fanfiction. I just do. Whether they are a friends, lovers or enemies, they just appeal to me when they're together. This story is a lot of fun, and I look forward to seeing where it ends up.

Why would anyone agree to this? Willow doesn't even like her parents.

I tend to agree with you. However, it's a challenge response, and I thought that giving this a go in the West Wing universe instead of the Harry Potter fandom, as is common, would be a new touch.

But the thing to remember is that both Josh and Willow are in bad places, and not really connected very much to "real" life. Both of them are kind of walking around in a daze. Whether or not Willow likes her parents... we don't get to see her interactions with them on the show very much, and that makes it harder to say if she likes them or not. Sure she quips about them, argues with her mother about witchcraft, etc... but that isn't to say she doesn't have a normal relationship with them, for a teenager in Sunnydale.

Just my take at this.

Interesting. Very interesting. I can't wait to see the two of them meet- especially since Willow proclaimed herself to be all about the girls now, or something to that effect.

I'm undecided as to the pairing though. I'm a rabid Josh/Donna fan as well as a Willow/Giles fan. (Yeah, that last one hasn't been getting as much work these last few years.)

Pairing. Well, I'm a Josh/Donna fan myself, when it's well written. This concept called for something else. Since I had read a lot of betrothal stories in the Harry Potter fandom, where they are more old-fashioned and concerned with blood-lines, I didn't want to write one of those and be compared to everybody else. Then I read a wonderful story in the series Crash into me, by Pix, in which Josh's mother is very concerned about Josh bringing his Jewish heritage onto another generation, just so that the Nazis won't win and got inspired. And as they say... here is the result.

A very clever beginning. An arranged marriage with Josh Lyman and Willow Rosenberg is really clever as a concept. In a story that is, I mean. I'm really, really interested to see how you make it to a happy ending from this beginning :-)

Thanks. I think I sent it out as a challenge once upon a time. It's certainly a concept that has been mulling around in my head for a while, ever since I got to thinking that maybe Willow's parents weren't so mean and much away as everybody in fandom seemed to believe...

Happy ending... depends on your definitions of the word happy... Since none of the chapters are or will be from Josh or Willow's POV it can be kind of hard to notice. Besides they're both in bad places that's going to take a while to come out of.
