A great beginning. Lots of potential for character development. I would especially like to see more of Giles and Xander's relationship, whether father/son, mentor/student, or even lovers (although I think that one would have to wait and develop very slowly, perhaps growing from a close mentor/student relationship over several years). However, if you plan to develop this into a more extensive story, you might want to lower the Voldemort death-count a bit, if only because it would be hard for even hellmouth-blindness to overlook that many dead bodies long-term. A body count that high and obvious should attract outside law enforcement and media attention, which could lead to a serious problem.
I hope that you will chose to develop this into a full story, it has great potential.

It's very well-written. Chilling. If you wanted to continue it, it would be absolutely *fascinating* to see how Xander develops, remembering how to do magic. (After all, he remembers being Soldier Boy, so he ought to remember how to do Voldemort-style magic. And he would probably consider it part of his "redemption" for having killed so many people, to then take that magic and do good with it.)
