Review of chapter "Adaptation" from dulcinea
Review:
I know I don't review as often as I should, but I just wanted to let you know that I really enjoy the way you've been developing all of your characters, and I can't wait to see what you have in mind for the mysterious Miss Adams. Thank you for posting.

Thank you!

As for Miss Adams, well, that should all be sorted out soon (as that's the entire plot of Prudence and is meant to be sorted out in its conclusion). Then we'll be moving on with the story (and the war). In fact, there's some war-related things going on behind the scenes as we speak - it just hasn't gotten to Marblehead yet because of the travel times of the age.

Review of chapter "Surveillance" from sccraner
Review:
Great writing. I hope we find out more about who Miss Adams is and what she is up to in the next part. How often are you able to come out with a new part to this? I have read all of the series up to this point and think you are doing a wonderful job with it.

Generally, when I'm on a roll you may get a chapter in anywhere from 5-10 days - as I have a trio of beta-readers and it sometimes takes a couple days for them to get back to me. I usually try to have the next chapter ready to be sent to them when I post a chapter, or within a couple days after. I often post short blurbs regarding the process on my livejournal if you're that interested (username is captboulanger).

As far as Miss Adams - if you disregard her first name and most of her backstory in this tale, you'll be closer to the truth... she hasn't exactly been telling the whole truth. She actually appeared earlier in the series for about five chapters... but of course, all that will be coming out soon enough, in terms of Libby and the gang figuring it out.

Review of chapter "Transition" from SecondSilk
Review:
I got to read two chapters at once. (I'd put that in a sing-song voice, but it doesn't have the right rhythm.)
I liked the new style of the first chapter. And Catherine Adams again.
Good beginning. Definitely lloking forward to the next part. But despite the apparent lack of "thing" "happening" the reintroduction of the characters, and setting of the time frame were very good. (And very helpful.)
Comments from author:
Well, this one's a bit unusual that way, in that there really isn't an obvious *thing* going on. The mystery is what *is* going on here... there's quite a lot lurking beneath the surface, and I'm doing my best to leave enough clues (most of which, as far as I can tell, most if not all of the readers have missed) to figure it out.

The new style - the third-person with very vivid visual descriptions - is actually one of those clues: we've got another new narrator here.

very nice - I especially liked the touches in the third part, with Catherine and Mrs Hamilton.

Thank you, Lucinda... that's the part I worked on the most, surprise, surprise. (Of course, I always take care intro-ing a new character, whether they're a good guy or a big bad guy.) At this point, though, I hope the other readers are paying attention to Miss Adams as much as it seems you are...

Review of chapter "Confusion" from sccraner
Review:
Excellent work on this continuing series. Libby is the best character you have ever written. New teacher sounds interesting, if they do not know she is the vampite slayer. How much longer does she still have to go to school? Keep up the great writing.

Thank you! I love hearing from my readers, so please do feel free to comment as often and extensively as you like.

Which new teacher are you referring to there, Mr. Wakefield or Miss Adams? Since, from all appearances, Mr. Wakefield is only filling in until a permanent replacement is found, and Miss Adams seems to want the job.

Just this coming year. In that age, the school system was not as formalized as it is today, but I saw no reason for Libby to quit school prior to turning eighteen. Which she will be in the coming spring. Consider this the equivalent of her last year of high school.
