I just found this story for the first time and I have to say I really enjoyed reading it. I liked the whole interaction between Giles and Harry as they slowly built a friendship over the month he was at the Dursley's. I've not checked your profile to see what else you wrote, but I could see a sequel to the story set after Harry deals with Voldy where he becomes a Watcher or is just hangs out at with them after work is done and being friends with various people from the Buffy-verse.

Wonderful story and it most definitely deserved the COA award it won.

I hope that you one day get inspired to write a follow up to this wonderful story.

(In sharp contrast to The Worst of Giles, which we sadly saw quite a lot in the last half of the series.)

Very much like the idea of Giles teaching the self-confidence the Scoobies developed through their various apocalypses.

I started this story a long time ago, but I didn't read the ending until to today. I don't know if I can explain how wonderful I think it is. I've spent ever chapter just thinking "tell him, tell him" whenever Harry started to think that Giles was 'just a muggle ' and couldn't relate. But all of that torture made the ending SO satisfying when Harry finally read the inscription. I also LOVED the Giles told Lupin off a bit. Amazing story. Thank you.

This is a fantastic story, i read it long ago when there were only two chapters and was afraid that it would not be finished. It was well worth the wait.

Wow, why haven't I seen this one before? ;) Really really good. Giles was very Gilesy and Harry even had a couple of capslock moments but calmed down eventually which really ties Ootp and HBP better than the sudden leap in Harry's character in canon.
Any chances of a sequel??? Pretty please *_* Giles or / and one of the Scoobies could be there to help Harry before or after his quest in book 7.

I'm not a big fan of Harry Potter crossovers in general, but this was spectacular. I can see why it won the COA award for best other character; your portrayal of Giles is great.

This one is topnotch. It makes a good stand-alone, but I'd give up the internal organ of your choice to see a longer sequel. Perhaps one detailing how Giles knew, and at what point he knew. Anyway, take care....and keep writing whatever comes to mind.

I loved this story! The characterization of Giles and Harry is wonderful. I enjoyed how Giles managed to coax Harry out of his depression with one step forward and two steps back but Giles did help lighten the load. Are you going to write a sequel to this, like if Harry goes to the council for help or he just looks up Giles the next summer after he turns 17? Again, I just wanted to tell you how much I loved this story. Best wishes and happy muse wrangling!

Nicely done. I like the fact that Giles finally finds a way of helping Harry without being overly obvious to others.

I've read this story several times now and each time it seems to get better and better. Part of me wishes that you had continued it and that it was many many chapters long but in the end I'm really glad that you didn't because it works so well as it is. Harry's emotions seem so real and Giles is so supportive and how I liked him when I watched Buffy that the whole story rang true as I read it.
