Ooh! I really like this idea. If Spike has to fall in love with anyone besides Buffy, I think River is an excellent choice.
And Dawn with Jayne? That sounds funny, sweet and strange.
I would love to read more for this story line!

*grabs this story and hugs it* Absolutely loved this, even if I don't see Dawn with Jayne (then again, they do say that opposites attract). You've got Spike dead on the money (no pun intended), though.

Such a wonderful story. I like the idea very much, though it's sad to think about caring for people and then constantly having them die. Ugh. Any chance for more of this?

I think Jayne could handle it, after the initial shock and if somebody would told him that he probably could get a woman that looked 18 until his dying days. It might change his mind even quicker.
