Plus, does this mean Buffy was the product of an immaculate conception (or did Andrew do more than just take Joyce out to dinner once in a while)? Love the "miraculous conception" overtones, anyway, plus the idea of Joyce having someone familiar and beloved to help her on her way.

Good series of oneshots... I would really love to see two of them expanded though. The Airwolf and the MacGuyver ones, two of my favorite shows from when I was a kid.
Although for both of them the Father's have to be alive today, contrary to canon in those series. Maybe String has been a hermit hiding on his mountain for the last 20 years, seeing only St John, Dom and Caitlin after the government is convinced he is gone and they can't prosecute him. (and maybe Archangel after he figures out that String is not dead.) Murdoc on the other hand, we all know that if you don't find a clearly identifiable body he's not dead, and maybe even then. :-) So any chance for these oneshots to be made into longer stories?

In the suggestion box for additional shows are The Sentinel, Cheers, BJ and the Bear, and Fantasy Island.

Right now there's no chance of my continuing either the Airwolf or McGyver one-shots. There is a fairly good chance that I will have a sequel to The Man from U.N.C.L.E. at some point. I have too many fics going at this point to commit to another one.

To be honest, I've never found this series as uplifting as some have. Maybe I was spoiled by "Highway to Heaven", but the "big reveal" near the end of each episode always seemed like a bit of a cheat to me. If they can't guide their charges to the right path without revealing their divine origins, maybe they shouldn't be in the "social work" division. The way they handled Joyce's problems in this chapter was more to my taste, but it begs the question; why did "Daddy" let his little girl leave "home" to go back to Sunnydale? ;)

Continuing the "death is her gift" theme, does anyone know if DLM Reapers can have kids?

For the suggestion box: "Magnum, P.I." - Not Thomas himself I think, but maybe Rick, or possibly Higgins? (The latter I can see doing a stint as a Watcher at some point, with a possible family connection to Giles. ;)) Joyce becomes involved in one Magnum's cases (as a witness or macguffin holder) and ends up spending time at Robin Masters's estate for her protection.

Maybe "Daddy" didn't have a choice, it could have been part of a larger plan. ;-)

This kind of gives a new spin to "Death is your gift". I very much enjoyed this update. Original idea and very interesting. Great job.

OK I have a new favorite among your short stories.....

I love these letters! Wonderfully written. The various tones to Joyce's letters and Buffy's subsequent reactions are really well done. I'm only vaguely familiar with the fandoms used here (except Stargate) but you do such a great job of capturing their essence in a couple of short paragraphs that I'm never lost. Though may I say, eww, re Kinsey as Buffy's father? Even Hank looks good in comparison!

Wow! This is such a great idea, you have to do more with it. Please? Buffy and Dawn having Illya for a father is just too cool. Lol! And it would be nice to see what he has been doing for the past couple of decades. Possibly being a medical examiner for NCIS? Lol!

This chapter needs to be expanded! I'm sure you know that David McCallum played both Illya Kuryakin and Ducky (NCIS). This could be the beginning of a wonderful story.
